What’s for lunch? Did you know that you can train your mind/body to crave healthy foods? Yup! Absolutely! Not too long ago, I would crave foods like fries, and even chicken nuggets, which I haven’t eaten in a really long time. I tend to spend a lot of time thinking and when I realized what I had been craving, it made me wonder why. Why would I crave chicken when I don’t eat meat? Why would I crave foods I haven’t touched in years? So, I started looking back to what I was eating in the past few months and I realized it’s not what I’m eating but what I’m NOT eating. I had been neglecting to eat my greens! So I started putting at least 1 head of romaine every morning in my smoothies. Then, during the day, I would aim to eat another one, alternating or adding kale, spinach, bok choy and fresh herbs. It didn’t take long that my digestion got better, my gut started feeling better and I stopped craving unhealthy foods and craving healthy, vibrant living foods. The saying one apple a day keeps the doctor away should say: 1lb of greens per day keeps the doctor away!
