An Attempting Writer

Hey y'all, it's been a while.

So, I'm just going to cut to the chase. At this time, I've decided to officially stop updates for A Kidnapping By Any Other Name. I know I haven't updated for a few years now, but I've decided to officially end it. I've been struggling with massive writer's block for the past years, and I think a large part of that was guilt over not continuing to write for AKBAON, despite not being able to get around the mental block preventing me from writing more for AKBAON.

Since I've decided to leave AKBAON unfinished so that I can move on to other writing projects without it hanging over me, I will be uploading a "final chapter" soon that will essentially be an outline of where the story was going, how it was going to end, as well as tying up any loose ends and lingering questions you all may have.

I'm not sure when this final chapter will be uploaded, only that it'll be relatively soon once I have everything organized in a cohesive manner. If there are any specific questions about the story you want to see answered in this last update, feel free to comment on this post or the fic itself.

I'm sorry that I wasn't able to end it the way I initially wanted to, but I'm honestly feeling a lot better to officially leave this chapter behind.

Hopefully I've made up for it by uploading it just now.

Okay, so, I may or may not have done a whoopsie.

Somehow, Imaginary Friends (the fic) got deleted when I was trying to delete another fic (that wasn't actually a fic-fic, just a thing asking for prompts), so I'm planning to reupload the chapters either today or tomorrow.

This does not mean that I'll be continuing to write the Imaginary Friends fanfic. I still fully intend to turn this story into an original novel. I just know that I've had some of my favorite fics deleted in the past, which was always a little devastating since even if they weren't finished, I still loved coming back and rereading them.

I don't know if anyone out there feels similarly towards what I have written for the now-abandoned Imaginary Friends fic, but just in case, I'll be putting it back on AO3.

(I still can't believe I deleted it; I sincerely don't know how it happened, but it did, and I'll do my best to fix my error).

In other news, tomorrow, in honor of the best and spookiest day of the year, I'll be uploading a fun little Wenclair one-shot; I look forward to seeing what you guys think of it!
