Shit like this makes me feel so grody, because yes, objectively her statement makes sense and is right, but this is linked to the βrational hubβ and is tagged atheism, and I would be surprised if it WASNT used to denounce Islam and call it an oppressive misogynist religion because Western atheists love to hate on islam without being equally critical of any other religion. Itβs not the religions themselvesβitβs the society of people that created themβthat are oppressive and sexist.

Out of interest, have you even checked our other posts at all before bothering to post this? Because most of it is about religion in general or Christianity. If anything we get a lot of questions as for why we don't post many quotes re:Islam. And heck, this quote is not even about Islam in specific, so not sure what the point of your rant is. And we condemn racism against Muslims, but criticism of Islam isn't racism. Hatemongering/bigotry against Muslims is, criticism of Islam as a religion, just like any other, isn't.
We've done posts by various atheists, atheist women etc. And ex Muslims too. Don't see what's your beef with that.
