“You can’t lie to your soulmate” is such a great prompt for Ian and Mickey because do you understand how much living in a universe like that would fuck Mickey up?
You are telling him from a young age that at some point he’s going to meet someone who is his soulmate and who he can’t lie to. Mickey Milkovich who will get to like 13 and start to realize he doesn’t think his soulmate will be a girl.
He will be so terrified of meeting people in front of his brothers, or his dad. And he has to because they will take him places to do crimeTM where he has to lie and he will be there panicking thinking one day one of those guys could be his soulmate and then he wouldn’t be able to lie and his dad would kill him.
So he would start to behave in this fae kind of way where he is always technically telling the truth whenever he meets someone and they are not alone.
He will always slip in a little lie when he meets girls cause he hopes that maybe
He would meet Ian and go out of his way to never try to lie to him cause he thinks it might be him and he doesn’t want to find out for sure. Then Ian would come to get the gun back, and they would fuck, and Mickey would be so scared, not even because they might be soulmates, because he will immediately know there would be no way out of this, because he knows he would never be able to tell Ian he doesn’t want anything serious, he doesn’t have feelings, he doesn’t love him. He literally wouldn’t be able to lie.
