I'm a 30+/female who has always had this undefined "thing" related to becoming pregnant.
It's been there ever since I was young. I have ached my whole life to conceive, carry babies, and give birth. The desire was so strong I had kids early in life and would have earlier if nature had allowed. Even through we are supposed to be "done", I want to have more so badly...to the point it drives me absolutely mad with need.
Only in recent years did I try to give a name to it. Of course I've been told I have a breeding kink...and other times a pregnancy kink. People have told me that they're not the same thing, but then others will say they are.
So I feel like I'm that odd person within the venn diagram between them...like I don't personally have a sexual attraction to pregnant women like a "pregnancy kink" is almost always defined, but I have a huge sexual desire to become pregnant and ACTUALLY have babies with my lover. I don't get turned on by only the "idea" or "risk" of it that is described a lot of times in context of a "breeding kink".
So I'm confused about myself, what do you think this is? Is something wrong with me 😅
Trying to draw bright lines around fuzzy terminology is always a bit silly, I think.
"Kink", to start with, is kind of a funny concept. It sometimes means "something you like 'too much' compared to the average person" (e.g. voice kink), sometimes means "something you like that the typical person doesn't" (e.g. leather kink), sometimes means "something you like that isn't socially acceptable to admit, regardless of how common it is" (e.g. rape kink), sometimes means "something you like in fantasy but wouldn't want to do in real life" (e.g. political kink)...
And then "breeding", naturally, means many different things to many different people. For some people, it seems to just mean "enthusiastically coming inside" without any real connection to reproduction; some people are turned on by the idea of impregnation but turned off by the idea of pregnancy. (Strange lines to draw, in my opinion, but I'm not the king of breeding kink.) Some people like the power dynamics of pregnancy, but the physical changes freak them out. Some people love the whole process from conception to nursing, but exclusively in the context of the baby being a horrible thing inflicted upon them. And some people just ache to have babies, with everything that goes with it.
I would definitely say that you have a breeding kink - an overwhelming desire to have babies that's shaped your whole life clearly fits the "something you like 'too much'" category. But if you wanted to say that you're turned on by breeding but that it isn't a kink - because it's a life goal - I don't think that would be unreasonable.
Ultimately, though, the question is "which words will be most helpful for me?", and I think the answer is probably "breeding kink", even though there's lots of people who also have a "breeding kink" but don't want anything like what you do; the people who do want it will gravitate here.
