introductory post for Perfect Grey, the main OC story Iām working on:
PERFECT GREY follows the lives of three people:
Hitan and Itami hold a fraught relationship to each other: once childhood friends and partner musicians, an accident involving Hitan during the 80s severs the already tense connection they had, pushing Itami into leaving abruptly and holing himself up in his misery. During that time, Hitanās left in a vulnerable position, yet he is undeterred to abandon his career. Pulling himself up by the bootstraps, Hitan endeavors to change his image completely, with the help of a newly made acquaintance: Harper. At the time, (1990), she met Hitan at the clinic they both attended for a number of health issues. Seeing themselves in a similar situation, they become roommates and close friends. As Harper works multiple jobs, she lands one with HART, a not-so-known band. There, she meets Itami, with whom she establishes a short-lived relationship.
Ten years later, during the 2000s, the three of them find themselves estranged for multiple reasons. Miraculously, the record label that employs Itami, secures a deal with a top-of-the-line artist with the promise of propelling their newest talent to stardom. Without knowing, Hitan and Itami would come face to face with each other again, and later on Harper through their new livelihoods.

addendum: these are technically not the same people, but instead vehicles for me to explore their extremes, so they work as complimentary material to further understand their behaviors and relationships.
