A Lighthouse on Fire at Night by Joseph Wright of Derby (1734ā1797)
I'm still here
ok apparently I have 4 Tumblrs but this is the only one I paid for so this will be my main. I don't even know if people are still alive in the Tumblr verse.

These are $30 for one but stitches at the hospital are more expensive so this is pretty damn great
So what youāre saying is that someone in the free market has responded to high costs by developing a new product that is far less expensive, and can be applied by the injured person themselves not just a doctor or nurse.
This is neat AF
Its an advanced butterfly bandaid.
@keyhollow
This isnāt āNeatā this is horrifying. America is in shambles.
āOh drat! Iāve been stabbed and I canāt afford to go to hospital. Good thing Iāve brought my emergency DIY stitches.ā
America⦠your health care system is fucked up. You know that, right?
Yes we know thank you
never gonna get over the cycle of
product invented -> problem with capitalist hellscape mildly circumvented -> americans celebrate because its incredibly good that this product exists -> non-americans telling us weāre dumbasses for? being happy theres a tiny little workaround for our shitty system? acting like weāre stupid for looking forward to a product that fixes an 800 dollar problem for a fraction of the cost?
extremely cool and sexy of you all to uhh *spins wheel* mock the citizens of a dystopian nightmare for *throws dart* being excited about the prospect of having one less thing to suffer for.
Okay like I know y'all are like āfuck capitalismā and Iām right there with ya, but this is amazing for emergency aid in extreme environments as well.
crucial also that this method does not involve making additional punctures in the epidermis which is just one more way for bacteria to get in. and on that subject, the wound can be washed and disinfected and monitored for any infection very easily this way because the tissue is simply being pushed together instead of bound together. if you notice inflammation, thereās nothing stopping you from popping this zip-tie bandage off, thoroughly cleaning the wound, and slapping a brand new one on. try doing that with stitches, buddy. this is a huge improvement over prior technology and thatās all without even mentioning how much it could help someone who is bleeding from a head wound and lives just a bit too far from a hospital. or what if youāre in a car accident and the pileup makes it hard for an ambulance to get to your location? you can buy yourself a little time this way. this would be an incredible invention with or without single payer healthcare
I would also like to point out that superglue⢠was originally developed as a medical adhesive for use in war zones. that episode of poker face did not make that shit up.

a fun thing about being on medication that carries warnings like 'if you suddenly stop taking this you might have effects that can range from feeling crummy to psychosis' is that the pharmacy will still go 'haha oopsie we forget to get those pills you order every single month, you can do without for a while right'
My doctor's office kept refusing to refill my ADs and I had to go off them Cold turkey. I felt terrible for weeks and never got an answer as to why they wouldn't refill my meds

This is for the OC fanfic folksāhave any of you heard rumblings that Tumblr might be shutting down?
I have not seen anything with a date on it (an undated memo taken off a Threads feed is making the rounds), so Iām not too keen on sharing what I saw.
So, any news coming down the wire, folks? I know there are other options. Iām just in over my head and canāt balance another site on top of this right now.
Thanks all!

Clap if you're AT ALL surprised that Tumblr Post+ is the fist thing being discontinued in 2024.

And now... Surveys
EVERYONE has heard of sites offering pay for completion of surveys! Almost all of them actually do pay but here's the thing; most pay pennies on the ones you do qualify on and the disqualification rate is so high that most never actually make anything through these sites. I HAVE cashed out on 3 of the most popular ones though.
Inbox Dollars, Swagbucks, and Survey Junkie all cashed out. For the record, I don't use any of the above survey sites regularly. Sometimes when I want a little extra cash or a gift card I'll grind for the cashout so this isn't a review from someone who's a regular user.

JustPlay has changed for the better!!
This is the new UI for JP. I deleted it off my phone about a month or two ago and reinstalled it back today to see if anything had changed and I was pleasantly surprised with the new app. They now have all of the offers grouped by type and there is even a conversion tab that tells how much cash can be expected to be paid out when a user receives 1M coins.
I selected two offers and downloaded both with ease. They both immediately showed up as current offers along with the expiration date for each one. I already fulfilled one task from an offer and it paid out like $1. As I said we're not expecting to get rich here but with the way the economy is, making 20$ a day for being on your phone shouldn't be hard since EVERYONE is offering to do it.
It has nothing to do with Satan, Mama. It's me. If I concentrate hard enough, I can move things.
