i know it's a funny setup for jokes but it is very important to me that rocky does NOT hate stratt for what she had to do to grace (or at the very least he should have Very Complicated feelings on the matter). i actually think rocky would be horrified at the concept that one person was forced to make that decision all on her own. rocky comes from eridian society where major decisions are made in thrums, individuals coming together to be part of a whole, "neurons in a group mind." the concept of individual blame is probably, well, alien to them.

i imagine a moment on the trip to erid where grace is getting more of his memories back, explaining the project organization, and the whole time rocky is having flashback to his time on the blip-a where his crewmates were dying and he didn't have anyone else to thrum with for a solution. to quote @proginoskes who i was talking about this with, "who watches stratt sleep?" i think he'd understand her plight all too well
