I was hacked

Hi all, I just wanted to make a post letting everyone who follows this blog know that my account was hacked on Saturday night, and I just got access back this evening. You may have received some suspicious messages from me (something along the lines of "Hey, are you available now?"). This was absolutely not me sending these and if you answered, I highly recommend you reset your passwords and turn on two-factor authentication. I am so, so grateful I was able to get my account back, as I've been on here for 15 years now and this is the only social media I still care to use. I was absolutely devastated at the thought of never getting it back.

If you get any emails saying your password and email have been changed (without you doing so), get in touch with Support immediately! File your report under "Account access" and "My account was hacked." They will send you an automated message asking for your blog URL, email address, the email address it was changed to, and your IP address. It took a few days for them to restore my account. Apparently this has been happening to a lot of people.

Again, I'm so sorry to anyone who got spam messages from this account. These were not me!

#me the last week and a half

boy have i had a fucking rough week and a half. we have had round after round of severe weather come through this area and a couple of weeks ago, i ended up losing power for 6 or so hours last thursday and friday, and i didn’t get a whole lot of sleep because of it. on wednesday, they were forecasting insane storms and so i was fully expecting my apartment to be damaged to some degree and having to figure that out (thankfully it didn’t pan out for us). then, on this past friday, someone doing the lawn at my building cut through my internet cable and i had no wifi for the entire weekend. then, on saturday night, i find out that my beloved tumblr account of 15 years was hacked and i lost access to it. i was so worried i wasn’t going to get it back. and finally (hopefully), if all of that wasn’t enough, i find out that the guy who broke my heart last year is back in town for unknown reasons (last i knew, he was on the other side of the country indefinitely) – i found this out because he randomly popped up on a dating app. so now i’m living in this awful in-between state of hoping that he’ll reach out but also feeling heartbroken all over again and preemptively disappointed because i know he probably won’t. and i’m just dreading/hoping i’ll run into him on campus. so i’ve been going through it

it sickens me that there are so many men that simply never engage with anything made by women and they don't question it and they aren't questioned about it. they don't listen to music by women or read books written by women or watch movies written and directed by women or stop to look at paintings by women at museums and they're just allowed to go thru life never considering women as artists with no challenge or criticism whatsoever. meanwhile as a woman it's impossible to escape the male artistic point of view
