Imagine getting played by Billy Hargrove
You smile, tucking a loose piece of hair behind your ear before walking into the diner. You got back a week early and wanted to surprise Billy. You went to his house and his father said he went out to the diner with some friends.
Heart pounding, you push the door open, familiar jingle sounding as the bell rings. âY/N!â A brunette waitress waves at you and you smile, pulling her into a hug. âHow was your trip?â
âHey, Betty. It was amazing.â You reply. âAnd Iâll have to tell you all about it soon, but right now Iâm on a mission to surprise my boyfriend. Have you seen Billy?â
âHargrove?â she asks nervously, and you nod. âYou guys are dating?â You nod again, and she looks back at you uneasily. âOh no.â
âWhatâs wrong?â You frown. She attempts to step in front of you, but you frown. âBetty, just tell me.â She sighs, then points over to the corner of the diner. Your eyes follow her direction and land on Billy, where heâs sitting in a booth with a cute blonde girl, laughing. âOh.â
âY/N, Iâm so sorry-â she starts, but I quickly cut her off.
âItâs fine.â You insist, blinking back tears. Billyâs eyes flit up and momentarily meet yours before going back to the girl. A second later his face becomes confused and he looks back up. Your cheeks flush and you brush your hair back, turning away. âI should go. Betty, call me when you get off and you can come over.â
âY/N.â You feel Billyâs hand on your shoulder but donât react. âHey, I didnât know you were back yet.â
Bettyâs eyes linger on Billy before looking at me, concerned. âAre you sure youâre-â
âGreat, Iâll see you later.â You walk out, slamming the door in Billyâs face behind you. You walk over to your car and shove your bag through the door.
âY/N, hey, talk to me.â Billy pleads. âWhatâs wrong, why are you pretending I donât exist?â He grabs you and forces you to face him. âY/N, talk to me.â You shake his hands off and get into your without a word. âPlease, no, Y/N wait!â You drive off, fighting back tears.
Billy Hargrove was a bad boy, and you were just another one of his conquests. You shouldâve known better than to fall for him.
