Me expressing my worries bout Miraculous

Wow, this man genuinely believes he's writing Marinette to a saintly angel walking on fictional earth, huh?

He doesn't even explain what is wrongly interpreted, apparently any bad view of Marinette makes you a bad and dangerous person now.

No nuance, nothing. What does he mean by "haters"? Who knows? It could be anything from "Person who thinks Marinette is the most selfish and worst person alive, wants Adrien and everyone to suffer 24/7 and is actively planning on skinning Chat Noir alive next season finale to go through with her new secret plan of wanting the wish herself with which she will purposefully cause even more pain"

To "person who genuinely loved Marinette once and relates to her but simply draws the line due to personal moral code and the strong belief that no one should get to treat people the way Marinette does and get validated and rewarded for it because it literally still causes problems that she got away with it and never learned anything!"

Real life people with no nuance or clarification to the statement are being declared dangerous and irrational-minded over this fictional character who's causing harm left and right and even the narrative agrees that she's doing very bad things rn.

Good gosh, Thomas is the King of Marinette stans, no wonder that man is bullying and insulting Real life people for his digital daughter.

Of course Tommy the Clown isn't going to actually say what Marinette's haters are accusing her of. He doesn't want the people who still follow him to know what this is about because that's part of the manipulation. Youtubers do this all the time where they bring up “recent drama” without elaborating to win the audience over to their side before they hear the accusations, if they ever end up hearing them.

He's trying to make everyone who criticises his virtual daughter out into a red flag who apparently “confesses” to everything they accuse Marinette of. Just thinking about that for longer than a second sounds stupid as all hell. It doesn't matter what it’s about. Is it about the stalking? He's saying everyone accusing Marinette of that is a stalker. Is this about the ableism she shows towards Sublime? Everyone pointing that out is ableist apparently. Is this about the abuse apologia? The show doesn't have abuse apologia, the people claiming it does are the real abuse apologists!

It's just the good old “anyone who sees sexism/racism in this work is sexist/racist themselves” in a new coat of paint, because how do you know what sexist/racist stereotypes look like? Checkmate!

The whole Love Square "destined to be together" talk reminded me of this vid I saw recently and honestly, yeah. Like in a regular, well written show (e.g. Owl House) you can suspend belief that the main couple will stay together and get married even if they started dating at a really young age. The Love Square doesn't even have current believability on their side. We're all wondering why Adrien loves Marinette and vice versa (besides for the fact that the writers said so). Cause Marinette has more reasoning than Adrien does but him being nice and caring isn't even that good of a reason because every other character in the Good Person blob is also like that. They wouldn't have lasted a semester if the writers weren't pulling the strings and making them both co-dependent on each other in the worst way possible and for the worst reasons.

Like, a divorce lawyer saying: “This idea that somebody out there is going to be this perfect angelic presence in your life, it is a fiction, and it is the siren song that’s gonna send you right into the rocks of my office,” is so raw not gonna lie. Also, he’s spitting facts. The idea that there’s a soulmate for you, aka someone who fits you perfectly with no effort on your part, is toxic and is going to leave you dissatisfied with every single relationship you ever have. Relationships take work. Full stop.

And that’s the difference between Adrinette and any actually believable couple. In The Owl House, all the romantic couples put mutual work in to get the relationship to work, none of them are “oh this person understands you so perfectly you don’t have to say anything” but that’s exactly how the Adrientte get-together happens. And after that point, it’s Adrien putting in all the work, taking the blame for all their problems while the only work Marinette puts in is conspiring to keep him emotionally dependent on her. The instant Adrien has a bad day, week or month and can’t find the spoons to put Marinette’s needs over his own, Marinette is going to flip.

Which, of course, means the writers are going to make sure Adrien has infinite spoons, because he’s Marinette’s perfect prize RealDoll remote control boyfriend, so he isn’t allowed to have needs that inconvenience her for longer than the five minutes it takes for her to panic about not being the most important before she gets reassured again.

To dumb it down, if you haven’t been emotionally manipulated and forced into behavioral extremes to avoid going insane, it’s hard to understand Marinette’s behaviors. Granted, the show doesn’t give a good explanation to her behavior other than one prank gone wrong. She needs more. She needs multiple instances of betrayal. Having every single person betray her in some way would show her she can’t trust anyone and she needs to know everything about them to stay friends.

The stalker tendencies, in my experience personally and as I’ve seen by others, most likely comes from being cheated on. Having no proof but having that gut feeling. Even if it’s completely irrational because of your past. Overanalyzing things. It’s definitely wrong and feels wrong, and others would see it as unhealthy (unless they’re just nosy and don’t see their flaws).

I love me some corruption arcs where characters keep making bad choices and spiral further into their character flaws. If Marinette was portrayed that way, she could be a really fun character (which I would personally find much more compelling).

But that's not how she's framed. Instead the show tries to portray her as this nobley suffering hero, an atlas figure shouldering the burden of hard decisions to spare her loved ones. Someone with good intentions whose every bad actions should be forgiven just because it's a mistake born of good intentions.

Which is... flat out not true in most cases. Most of Marinette's problems are self created because of her own issues, and end up hurting people around her in the process. It's hard to feel sympathetic when those kind of things keep happening over and over again but she's never expected to take responsibility for her actions or better herself.

If she was a real person, than her difficulty growing would be understandable and make me a lot more sympathetic. But she isn't. She's a fictional character who's supposed to follow a heroic archetype where she might make mistakes, but she does learn from them and becomes better.

People had their expectations set by the genre and her archetype. Marinette falling short of those expectations is notable, and becomes seriously annoying when the framing tries to gaslight the audience into thinking that she is actually the heroic character she's supposed to be despite every evidence to the contrary.

It also doesn't help that, as you correctly point out, the show never really explains why she acts the way she does. Derision came too late and still isn't really a good explanation by itself since there's a lot it doesn't explain. Also, the show's framing of that explanation as "Marinette's behaviour isn't her fault" really doesn't help either.

So the audience is left asking why is she even doing all those bad things, and with the show not providing any good explanation, they're left to fill in the gaps themselves with whatever interpretation they want. For many the answer seems to be "just because" because the story itself isn't giving an answer.

You can fill in the gaps with your own experiences and understand Marinette's motivation through those, but most people don't have that. It's also not the only possible explanation for her actions.

For example, my read on her is that the main source of her issues is because her parents taught her to fear discomfort and didn't teach her any emotional regulation skills, so she ends up resorting to trying to control everything around her to manage her resulting anxiety.

Even other people who defend Marinette come up with some wildly different explanation for her motivations. Some highlights are: Chat Blanc trauma, manipulated by adults, atlas complex as a result of being Ladybug, complex about being needed, and many more.

You know, right after Revelator, the episode where Marinette rather wanted Alyas memory erased than telling Adrien the truth because Alya did absolutely not agree with what Marinette is doing to Adrien and didn't want to be part of it.

The episode's Alyanette conflict that got continued in Wreckless Driver on a much smaller scale and Marinette still had to be pretty much FORCED into supporting Adrien to get to go to therapy because Alya didn't leave her a choice by explaining the purpose of therapy which would have made Marinette an absolute asshole with no excuse if she had still tried talking Adrien out of it.

Marinette wasn't supportive, she was put in a checkmate.

Each season is supposed to have like, one midboss at "Episode 6" (a parental figure, typically), one sympathetic antagonist (a teenager), one Hawkmoth live appearance, and one final boss akuma to fight at "Episode 12/13" (definitely connected to the teenager antagonist).

Each half season even neatly segments each of ShizuBlair's relationship dynamic shifts cause the midboss episode and the final boss episode tends to come with some massive changes for them. If these were books, then each book would keep up with one stage of their relationship for the most part as it builds up to the main event that will inevitably flip their relationship over its head. It's like a relationship speed bump that prevents any side from getting together for a little while. Or progress a different side.

Like, by S1 Ep6, it comes right after Shizubug got rejected by his cat partner but by the end of the episode, a misunderstanding concerning Blair gets cleared up and they start out as friends. S1 finale would've had Blair's identity exposed so Shizubug put their relationship on hold, prioritizing being Ladybug for a while to protect her (much to her annoyance)... But then midway through S2 you'd get Hawkmoth ruining everything for them again by directly attacking Blair's family on her birthday, and she'd finish off S2 by akumatizing Shizuke and different sides knew different things with only Fiona knowing everything. I dunno maybe they should just get together by midway through S3, as a treat. They're not allowed to progress but as much as possible, the factors for it could be cleanly blamed on Hawkmoth lol 😂 no seriously, it's a lesson I learned the hard way on how hard can you cook before you burn down the entire kitchen, watching canon as of late.

SOO sorry for my hiatus (alongside the show lol) without warning! I should've dropped a post clearing up the false info with the unknown May airdates + announced my time off as I graduated college/settled into post grad life, but things got messy for me and I decided to just wait for the show to be back to post (more here on that if u care lol). I will say, she does bounce back quickly enough from her emotional setbacks. BUT only after receiving a pep talk each and every time, usually about how she's the greatest hero ever. She can muster the strength to stand tall thanks to her emotional support team (Chat Noir, Alya, Tikki, etc.), propping her up in the background. So praising her for being the "strongest," as if she's this uniquely resilient, solitary hero, disrespects and ignores all the people who constantly provide her with external validation, sometimes at their own expense.

(For this last point, I'm especially thinking of Adrichat in Kuro Neko and/or the Paris Special for example. Two times when he would have benefited from emotional support but the narrative has him give *her* pep talks instead. And it just really rubs me the wrong way, how one-sided it is. How emotionally needy she often is, when someone like Adrichat (who arguably all around has it worse than she does) is put into the position of being her emotional support vending machine. But hardly receives any support himself. At least season 6 is finally taking some steps towards the 'Adrien receiving support' thing.)

Now, I'm not trying to argue you can't be resilient/strong and have an emotional support group at the same time. But when has the narrative ever really shown Marinette to thrive without consistent external validation? She's nowhere close to being this paragon of resilience Luka is claiming her to be. Unless I'm misinterpreting whatever the hell he means by "strong."

But regardless, we can add this to the list of Marinette's totally believable feats: greatest Ladybug Tikki's ever had, mentally strongest miraculous holder Fu's ever known, creator of the most beautiful thing Audrey's ever seen, one-in-a-100(+)-year quality guardian, best superhero there ever was, and now strongest person Luka knows.

I swear, if they simply said something like "one of the best" I'd be so much less annoyed by it all.

The writers genuinely think that, if the characters say it enough, Marinette's life is uniquely difficult and her suffering is greater than anyone else’s. Marinette is so strong for dealing with the average teen hero life with only five to ten times the support other teen heroes get (she has twenty allies to most teen heroes' 2-5). She's so resilient for always finding an ally whose shoulder to cry on whenever the stakes get too high for her to deal with. She's so capable for handing the victory to the single main villain she had to deal with, ending with him destroying the world and her going on a date afterwards.

Sure, Adrien's entire life was upended and he was dealing with being abused by his only caretaker before that, but he's constantly sad about that, so clearly he isn't as strong as Marinette who always puts on a brave face for everyone.

Character Inspirations (Part 2): Blake, Fiona, Keagan, Damien and Natalia

Now for the ones a tier below the two main leads! To help my OCs blend in better within the MLB AU, I chose to connect them to three or four canon characters. The ones that aren't from MLB that I listed are the character inspirations that are a lot closer to their actual cores as they're meant to be pretty consistent even across AUs... I don't know how obscure some of the references here are, it's just that overtime I do add more characters to this board.

I was supposed to draw them individually with their N2CatS outfits but I got lazy and this has been long overdue. None of them are wearing a main outfit for any season.

Utterly obsessed with Marinette's batshit writing here. I cannot wrap my head around Marinette, honest to God, pulling the mental gymnastics to argue that the Gabriel Agreste at the end of season 5 somehow got something equivalent to being possessed by his "good self" from 10 years in the past. Or that the last 10 years just don't count and Gabriel in that moment selectively de-aged 10 years in his personal development as a human being without loosing any of his memories of said last decade.

Like, that line seems naively stupid but fine enough on surface level until you actually think about what it means that she is saying here and what she therefore must be convinced of. This girl literally is out here going "I made a promise I didnt actually make so I decide who the person I made the promise to truly was so I can feel comfortable with going along supporting an abuser's wish to keep deceiving the victim, who is my boyfriend, into glorifying his now dead abuser"

Marinette says she made a promise to Papacorn when Marinette neither knows OR CARES if Papacorn was ever actually a good father in the first place (or anything close to a good person), nor is she written to in any way show awareness anymore that Hawkmoth WASNT some separate entity that 'couldn't affected' Gabriel in his last moments anymore due to Marinette having knocked the Butterfly off of him.

It's the insistence of Marinette's writing that she herself is the only person on earth where the civilian self and Miraculous persona truly are the same person that does it for me. Marinette is straight up going insane at this point. Right on-screen.

Chat Noir had his right to be an existing human being underneath the mask revoked and was excessively punished and forbidden from ever asking for it again. Colour me surprised that he didn't made it into the final battle. With a leader, partner, and guardian like that we have to thank GABRIEL'S stupidity for not having ultimately doomed the isolated and abandoned Chat Noir who gets absolutely no support, resources or right to ask for something if he ever dared needing more than nothing to make it out if this alive.

Nathalie having been Mayura apparently doesn't mean anything according to Marinette and she was declared as just Gabriel's victim by Marinette in the s5 finale (which is laughably incorrect) to the point where Marinette even ignored BARKK saying that Nathalie can't be trusted cause "Marinette knows best" and the kwamis as the victims just need to shut up and think and feel whatever she decides they should. All that when Nathalie clearly still is a bad person or at least dark grey who was involved in everything which Marinette KNOWS and yet Marinette is consistently written to completely ignore any kind of painfully obvious logic that Nathalie's personhood in reality isn't just Gabriel's blameless victim and being Adrien's new mom.

Like, girl, come on. BARKK LITERALLY SAID IT! And thank goodness El toro del piedra proves Barkk RIGHT!

Alya has to constantly fight tooth and nail to not have her entire civilian life taken over and risked and sacrificed by Marinette over and over again putting more on Alya and disregarding any boundaries Alya ever explicitly asked for.

And in The Ruler, Marinette honest to fucking GOD was given a fully written and illustrated story by her self-picked hero team friends about their conflicted feelings over having to lie to each other, and she spends the whole episode not realizing that her having made them heros means THEY TOO now deal with the emotional burden of a secret identity. Nathaniel and Marc breaking the rules in the end behind Ladybug's back was 100% preventable because civilian Ladybug was given every non-verbal clue possible and yet never picked up on anything else but her enjoyment of the story. And that for who knows how long. That story was an entirely SERIES at that point and Marinette was highly invested in it.

The only way for her to still not be able to pick up on ANYTHING (in what was properly months at that point) from what her self-picked hero friends are going through, is if Marinette is fully characterized to consider HERSELF the only person in reality where civilian and Miraculous persona come together as one and the same being.

This girl just doesn't connect a single dot in any given case. Not for Chat Noir, not Gabriel, not Nathalie, not Alya, and not her friends like Nathaniel and Marc. And it's not just that she doesn't connect the dots, she over and over again refuses to learn that these dots exist in the first place.

Marinette resents his shows of skill, treats him as an opponent to outsmart rather than an ally, makes sure he knows less about what's going on than the main villain, never worries whenever he disappears, has no interest in getting to know him as a person, jumps at every chance to replace him that doesn't cast her as the villain and her playful banter sounds like genuine dissing concerningly often. I mean, she certainly treats him like someone she doesn't want around.

What you have proposed here would be a great element of that.

Normally in a magical girl show with where the main boy and girl have a love-square like setup like Usagi and Tuxedo Mask, it's the case where over time the two come together and learn to appreciate both sides of their prospective partner.

But in this setup, you have the opposite where the male character just steadily gets brutally disillusioned. Genuine understanding occurs for sure, but there's no crush progressing to a romance, it's an infatuation that gets dispelled and reveals a deeply flawed person that no one should be in a romance with any time soon.

At this point, I'm fully convinced that Marinette would now only be able to recognise Adrien as having been Cat Walker that one time, cause no way would canon Marinette ever recognise Chat Noir in Adrien. Maybe in 5 more seasons, but now? No way. No matter that Chat Noir isn't actually all that different from Adrien and Cat Walker when you look at the core personality.

It's already insane that Marinette is apparently not capable of recognizing that Chat Noir was Cat Walker despite the show having demanded that Chat Noir has to act like Cat Walker so she doesn't have to make any effort in this partnership that isn't letting herself get even more rewarded and worshipped for doing everything on his expense.

Like, Adrien was already out here in s2 having called Marinette their daily life Ladybug and in s3 Kwamibuster having immediately recognised Multimouse as Ladybug despite her visually not having worn the Ladybug Miraculous at all anymore (so Marinette then had /"had" to trick him into thinking Ladybug and Marinette are two different people).

And here is Marinette in s6, still incapable of realizing that Chat Noir just wore a different Black Cat suit, changed his hair, and acted a different kind of desperate care taker scapegoat.

But I guess that would require of Marinette to have taken any interest whatsoever in Cat Walker and Chat Noir as human beings. Can't recognise someone when you don't give a fuck.

And yes, I have no doubt that if Marinette were to realize that Adrien was Cat Walker, she would immediately forget about Chat Noir and start daydreaming about Adrien pampering her just as much in their hero "power couple" as he already has to as civilians. Yall can't tell me it wouldn't take a third person to remind Marinette of Chat Noir's existence which would then be treated as Marinette making a " pure-hearted sacrifice" by not booting Chat from his position as Black Cat to have her Prince Charming instead.

Even Marinette stans agree that the moment Marinette knows Adrien was Cat Walker, Chat Noir would immediately be asked to take a quick vacation so Marinette can abuse her leadership position to thirst on main. The only credit Marinette stans give her that I don't have the faith anymore to believe in, is that in their depictions, Marinette at least somewhat remembers Chat Noir and tells him how flawlessly she loves him before asking him to leave for a bit without being giving context for why.

Yeah, nah. Canon Marinette wouldn't remember Chat Noir. She literally never does no matter what important context.

And just saying, telling a person how much you love them just so they agree to leave for a bit so you can thirst over and make out with their replacement is not the pure-hearted thing Marinette stans make it out to be. It's literally just saying "you have no right to take issue with me sending you away or question anything because I just told you how flawlessly loving I am. Now reward me and leave and dont you dare think of me as anything but flawlessly devoted to you as partner. Just reward me, think me perfect and you not being enough for something to even just remain the full time Black Cat in my eyes. Don't expect anything of me.

Adrien too had multiple photos of her hidden away in his bedroom and in his phone.

Has action figures of them and plays with them for scenarios.

Daydreams of telling her his secret identity as well as having dream of their future together.

Tried to give LB flowers multiple times and that it even is its own set of episodes where he faces rejection but cannot help but still love her.

Enjoys it when others bring out they think they are a couple and want to play along.

Has smelled her openly and knows her perfume well enough to distinguish her from an evil fake.

Uses the Snake Miraculous to woo Ladybug.

Or try to be literally someone else for her to love him.

Would sacrifice his life anytime to save her.

Endangers himself for her even as a civilian.

Or will go on murder mode if anything happens to the person he loves.

Basically, they match each other freak. They aren't completely identical, but they sure share similarities.

She is trying to control every exterior factors and imagine all these plans and scenarios in order for things to go perfectly and not get herself hurt (and you could guess that back in S3, way before Derision).

He is a lonely and overly romantic guy with too much love to give and whose unrequited feelings were being a burden at times on his partner.

Both wanted to be loved back. Both tried several times. Over and over again. And both eventually saw how their love was hurting them. That it wasn't healthy to keep going on like this.

Chat Noir: You were in love with Adrien Agreste? Marinette: Yes. But it just made me act in the worst ways. It was too much to bear. What about you? You’re no longer in love with Ladybug? Chat Noir: No. It was too much to bear. It just made me act in the worst ways.

They had their experiences. They made their mistakes. And they learn and grow. And they are continuing to learn.

Because love and relationship is constant work.

And it is not like Adrien himself wasn't aware of Marinette's weirdness either.

Adrien has been wrecked over the coals for 2 seasons now for BOTH of their flaws in the whole Love Square while Marinette gets nothing but regarded and validated.

Elation literally continues with Marichat kissing, but Adrien noticing how wrong this is and stopping what they're doing, which results in Marinette screaming and crying over not getting to have him and even being willing to turn into Chat Noir's enemy and fight, punish and reveal him to Monarch so he can't tell her no anymore.

A situation that only got avoided because Chat let go of the only boundaries he ever got to set with Marinette and Ladybug and kissed her anyway despite it making him extremely uncomfortable. Something that Marinette then still puts the blame on BOTH of them.

In Elation, Adrien shows that the behaviour you are using to justify Marinette's writing has already been punished and taken care of. He learned from this. Marinette screamed and cried and wanted to punish to get her way.

Then the next episode starts with Marinette already wanting to leave before Plagg even starts his plan and then the rest of season 5 explicitly blames ADRIEN for having caused all this because Marinette was entitled to have him but didn't get have him, so Adriens spents the rest of s5 too worshipping and validating Marinette problematic part of the love square and even having to take accountability for her "suffering" (protection)

Now by the time of season 6, he has entirely stopped with his problematic behaviour. Marinette is still doing pretty much all of it.

That even Felix fucking Fathom was held to a higher moral standard regarding Adrien's survival than Marinette Dupain-Cheng is now.

For as much of a victim-blaming hypocrite of a backstabber (who took no accountability for that) as Felix was to Adrien, part of Felix' initial resentment towards Adrien came from Adrien not being in danger of being snapped out of existence by Gabriel like Felix was / felt like.

This factor is even highlighted at the end of Strike Back when Gabriel asks him how he can know that he can trust him with the Peacock and Felix replied that if he truly wanted to hurt Gabriel like that™ then he would have already done so.

This can only refer to Adrien's life (especially since they were talking about him the line berfore this, too). Felix had one of Adrien's amoks for a whole season, so if he wanted to kill Adrien, he would have done so already (and this was the one factor that actually made Gabriel pause from taking all the other Miraculous, so even GABRIEL here was held to a higher moral standard than Marinette is)

And then later in Emotion, Felix' whole deal is that, yes, he's going on a genocide rampage, but the power of the Red Moon made it so that he himself has the power to 100% bring everyone back safely. That's why he freaked out when he thought he couldn't bring Marinette back and why Red Moon itself was the one kill he cried over. Red Moon by design was a Sentimonster that isn't safe to be brought back the way it was, so it's not a "temporary kill" as with every other of his Sentimonsters. Killing Red Moon in the end meant that it won't ever return because HE created it to be too dangerous and unfit for the world for that to be possible.

And logically, this whole temporary kill logic also included him taking Adrien out of existence for a while. The only reason for why he did that is because Felix was 100% certain that he has the power to bring Adrien back safe and sound:

Felix did not take a risk regarding Adrien's life, no matter how downright awfully Felix' has been treating Adrien.

That's, like, the lowest fucking bar one can be given credit for regarding taking someone out of existence

And yet that's still a bar Marinette Dupain-Cheng is not asked to fucking REACH NOW!

Felix fucking Fathom has the moral high ground here! Do you have any idea how upset that makes me?

And not just that! The one and only reason why Felix spared Marinette and declared her "the one good human who can be trusted to live amongst the Sentikids" is because he was certain that she can be credited with the same pathetically low bar of "Adrien's Senti existence isn't threatened by this person" as he even gave Gabriel Agreste credit for (again, this isn't a compliment towards Gabriel, that's the most pathetically low bar there is):

And yet 5 EPISODES INTO SEASON 6 and Felix was already proven clear-cut WRONG about Marinette! WHY?? He just doesn't get to know about it - same as everyone else - so the show can sweep Marinette's willingness to have actively human sacrificed Adrien for her self-prioritization under the rug.

Do you have any idea how upset, no, how ANGRY I am that Felix toxic-backstabber Fathom has the moral high ground here?? And that in the case of him finding out about this i couldnt blame him for turning on Marinette and loosing the fragile grace and good faith he just developed for her in season 5 to instead give her hell for her disregard of Sentibeing's lives? Since if Marinette doesn't even respect and value ADRIEN'S Senti-life then how can he trust her with any other Sentibeing? Especially Kagami and himself?

Jfc, I couldn't BLAME this asshole for turning on Marinette! I hate that! And I couldn't blame Kagami either for being fucking FELIX' number 1 supporter in this because Marinette literally preferred for Adrien to be her DEAD boyfriend over setting a possible outcome into motion where he wouldn't want to be with her anymore!

All I've seen from the Fandom that apparently mari stopped her stalking or is growing away from it, i find that hard to believe as an old fan and now a rewatcher

I generally don't believe they'll just trying to her self reflect and grow from her stalking considering the show track record of showing in a positive light even if she did grow past it I still don't think she should be in a relationship with the person who she stalked (Adrian) and have them not be a couple

But I'll get to the point does she grow from this or was it the opposite? It just stopped showing up on screen?
