I like that theyre both instantly the first to react right before the 'where's kinger' line. pomni immediately clocks that something's wrong, probably filled with so much nerves for it all to work especially since she's been taking such a lead role in all of this. ragatha only takes a microsecond to flinch after, and I KNOW memories where she was fixating on ANY miniscule hint or clue of a change of tone from her mother was flashing behind her eye.
OH YEAH THAT REMINDS ME. it is absolutely not lost on me on that whenever it feels like their distraction is failing it is always RAGATHA who speaks up first to divert caine's attention back to them (and might i add genuinely sucking ass at it.)
and, not that it happens a lot over the course of the series, but this moment in episode 7 comes to my mind a lot too.
always pacifying, always soothing, always de-escalating, always mediating if anyone ever got too heated. gotta make sure to keep the peace, gotta make sure everyone stays safe, gotta make sure no one gets too mad.
