In the Psych pilot they made Shawn a "cool guy" who is good with women and drives his motorcycle, and after that they said: "what if we make him really pathetic instead?", and honestly it's the best decision they could have made.

Another wild Psych thing is that people who haven't seen the show probably think the ideas of them as basically a polycule are just fans being silly but it is essentially canon. Shawn did in fact propose to Juliet on behalf of him AND Gus on the grounds that they are a package deal. And she ACCEPTED.

I know we love thinking of Rocky hanging out on Grace’s chest like a weighted blanket so let’s DEFINITELY NOT think about Grace sleeping on his stomach one day and Rocky settling carefully on top of him like usual and Grace wakes up screaming and thrashing and panicking because it reminds him of being held down and drugged and sent away to die
