What's your thoughts on gen ai? Especially in creative writing?
Hate it with every cell in my body.
Specifically with creative writing, it hurts me. It is the death of art. The soul is gone from the story when a machine just pumped it out. Even if it is a human idea making the prompt, there is no emotion. What is the point of generating creativity? Where is this going to become if we continue to pursue it? Are we going to make ai’s do everything for us? Making machines Work, think, “create,” even have hobbies for us… The idea of society becoming something where everything, including our entertainment, is generated and automated by machines disgusts me.
I think it is useless and lazy ESPECIALLY with creative writing, or anything creative for that matter. Using it for essays and the like I can see the use but I wouldn’t be caught dead knowingly using it at all. It isn’t good for your mind to have an ai think for it.
Sucks for the environment too. Idc if there are bigger issues because this is still a problem. It’s a bug that can hopefully be squashed before it sinks its teeth into us fully.

Oh lovely Anon, you're asking the tough questions here! (And I thank you for it - it made me think hard about who I like and why! ❤️)
I have to say, I love all of them - particularly as I'm writing them. I think there's some kind of weird little switch in my head, so as I work through a fic, what tends to happen to my characters is they go from concepts on a page that I've plotted out, to my precious little darlings and I end up with a lot of feels. So I suppose truthfully any time I'm writing about one, they sort of have 'favourite' status. (At the moment Lysander is up there, but so is Retvja.) However. If I absolutely had to choose, or face the loss of (I'm trying to think of something threatening here, let's go with:) all chocolate forever. Then I'm going to pick my special little guy. My first baby. The one who very politely came up to me as I was sitting on a bus, and belted me over the head with the fact that he was in love with Jason Lane, and I'd better do something about it. (Samiel. It's Samiel.)
In terms of who I have the most fun writing, I think I really do have to say all of them, because they all challenge me in different way. I love writing Samiel for his fierce bravery, and his cunning. He makes me think about how someone with his past would develop, and how that manifests. I love writing Jay for the politicking, and the fact he gives me grey hairs as I try to work out what he's up to and how he's going to solve problems. I love Hess for... honestly, I just love how much fun it is to write him skirting the edge of 'too far into evil' on a regular basis. I love writing Dan because he makes me feel angry and brave, and sometimes I need to channel my own frustration into a character who will fight against all odds. I love writing Lysander/Hiraeth because he's like an onion - he has layers, and we're still peeling them back, and it's so much fun to share his self-discovery with you all. And I love Damas/Aubrey because honestly he's (as a lovely commenter put it) playing 4D chess with the rest of the galaxy, and I think he's more vicious than we've seen so far (and it's so much fun to write someone who absolutely hides their true face).
Oooh, if someone put them all in a room together? I think Samiel would be having the time of his life bitchily judging everyone else. Jay would be with him, but probably working out how to navigate the whole situation without offending anyone or starting a war. Lysander/Hiraeth would probably be trying to make friends with Dan, and Dan would be fending off Hess's attempts to kill Lysander/Hiraeth because of that. Damas/Aubrey would be in a corner taking mental notes on who he needs to kill or ally with (I have a horrible feeling he'd actually want to try and get Hess onside somehow...)

Post-TOA Apollo wants to help every demigod he can but the "no interference" rule means he has to do it on a way that gives him plausible deniability. Like, monster misses a killing blow because the sun gets in his eyes? Sure, that could happen on its own. Demigod running low on supplies stumbles across a fully-stocked storage shed complete with celestial bronze weaponry? Less likely, but still possible.

Ohoho, the ot3. You know I love talking about the ot3. In terms of dynamic (and as is always the case), Retvja makes everything a little more straightforward. He doesn't really have time for nonsense in the way Aubrey and Lysander do, and he's... decidedly less dramatic about everything.
That said, he's also very, very baffled that the two people he loves most in the world seem to want to pull him into a romantic relationship. Especially as he's pretty certain Lysander is unhealthily obsessed with Damas. (He's not wrong; he's just missed that Lysander is also unhealthily obsessed with him as well.)
I think the key to the ot3 dynamic is that Retvja and Aubrey are childhood friends, whereas Lysander and Retvja are adult friends.
Retvja and Lysander in some ways have a day to day closer relationship that Aubrey and Retvja - they spend most of their time together, they both work towards the same purpose (i.e. their Aubrey-related duties), and Retvja is the one who actually did most of the hard work when it came to teaching Lysander practical things like how to fight.
However, while they are both softer with Aubrey than they are with each other, they're also both very aware that Aubrey Draxios is a dangerous creatures who will absolutely protect them to the best of his ability. So they try to behave themselves. They also dote on Damas, and try to find ways to coddle him without him realising it.
All of that means Lysander and Retvja have an unspoken agreement to not cause enough trouble that Damas will start burning down worlds, and Damas has an unspoken agreement with Lysander and Retvja that he will allow them to get away with anything (up to and including murder).
I also think Damas is a little insecure because he thinks (to start with) that his relationship with the two of them isn't as strong as it is with each other, which results in his usual Damas Avoidance System.
Anyway, here's a snippit:
"When did he turn into such a brat?" Retvja asks in disbelief, as Lysander glares at him.
"I can hear you, 'Vja."
"An unmanageable, irritating, stubborn -"
"I will bite you." Lysander bares his teeth. "It'll hurt."
"Please don't bite him," Damas interjects tiredly. "I cannot explain to the council again why my High Commander and his Second are sporting teeth marks in front of the court." He tilts his head back and closes his eyes. "Besides, if anyone should be doing the biting, it's me. I have had to put up with four hours of land disputes today. If it had taken half an hour more, someone's head was going to roll."
'Vja hums thoughtfully. He sneaks a hand across and, as Lysander watches, carefully tucks a strand of gold back behind Damas's ear. "Jarvik Inidsin causing problems again? And no," he adds, as Lysander opens his mouth, "you can't bite him either."
Classic TOA time travel back to lightning thief AU but instead of just Apollo, or Apollo and Meg, it's those two plus the emperors. Good news! No need to deal with Python as he's not resurrected yet, and Apollo has godly status back.
Bad news! Literally everything else.
Apollo has to deal with Kronos rising, protecting Meg (she is not happy at being back as a 6-7 year old), grappling with the fact his dead children are alive again, and getting ahead of the emperors and not arousing any suspicion while he does so. He fails at the last one constantly. Everyone is extremely confused and frankly worried for him.
