At work and nothing requires my attention so I'm gonna ramble about my Twisted Wonderland mc.
(First Image) The original version of this character. A tragic and toxic result of a strict upbringing. Growing up, Alice financially wanted for nothing but was raised to perform with excellence and grace to keep up appearances for her family's name. While she did fine to maintain these expectations, cracks would show in her mask around high school where her actual personality would appear when dealing with conflict. This wouldn't improve much as she got older and additional family issues would cause a rift between child and parent and eventually lead to no contact/disowning. In her current time, she rents out a small apartment playing gigs and side jobs to survive.
Which leads into her Twisted Wonderland Story.
(Second image) After getting hit by the chariot, Alice wakes up in the world of Twst. She appears as she did in high school and all memories of her real self. It's not until she crosses path with a mirror that she sees something that shocks her:
Her reflection shows who she really is.
No one else seems to be able to see her real reflection except for one "student".
Because of this, she's conflicted between taking this as a second chance to relive her youth without the restrictions her life brought her and being reminded she is in fact older than most at Night Raven Academy. She has to consciously hold back remarks seeing her young classmates act their age but has moments of clarity when forced to see the mistakes of youth reflect her own.
This is mostly seen during Riddles story, whom she shares a similar upbringing with. However with the stark contrast of support between the two, Alice has to confront truths she avoided for a long time and reconcile with during the rest of Twst stories.
She is not actually paired off with anyone due to the actual mental age difference. When the others try to get closer, she's quick to put up that wall to keep a distance as she's hyper aware of the implications and what it means for her if she finds support from someone younger than her real self.
I haven't settled on it, but I've been playing with the idea of Alice's real reflection when she sings something that relates to her life.
Alices whole story is mostly about finally growing up and all the things that come with it.
