Quiet Compassion

We see within the 1st episode Baby Jenks put on a facade to lure Lestat into a death trap. We see her play the character of a 'dim fangirl' to do so.But the show directly compares her cunning to Claudia’s. Mixing a scene of Claudia poisoning Lestat with baby jenks drugging Lestat.

It’s also implied Bruce was the one who made Jenks sleep with Lestat in order to entrap him. Which reminded me of how Marius made (human) Amadeo sleep with others too. The dialogue overlaying the elevator scene may indicate how she really felt about this interaction...

In the books , both Armand and baby Jenks were trafficked into sex work as children. And later on, as teenagers, they met their (much older) vampire makers/lovers .

It makes you question how old baby Jenks was when she first met Bruce/killer. My guess is she started dating “killer” when she was 14 (the same age she was when she started dating him in the books). And it would have been the same age Claudia was when she was turned (baby jenks =baby lulu). We already know Bruce was attracted to Claudia who looked 14 .So similar to Amadeo, baby Jenks as a teenager was probably groomed for years by her future vampire maker (and now is in her 20s).

We also know baby Jenks isn’t her name . She got the name “baby” when she was trafficked into sex work as a kid. I’d argue it’s possible Bruce gave her that name in the show. Similar to Marius renaming Arun, Amadeo. Or even Claudia giving Bruce the monicker of “killer.”
