I feel so bad for millie bobby brown, she gave up her whloe childhood for this show and then in the last season she was sidelined and got one of the worst endings possible for her character
She didn't get to do any of the lasts with the crew because she wasn't even apart of any of it. If the rumours are true and she didn't go to the finale party or watch thing I completely understand why
That poor girl has been ruthlessly bullied by the Internet her entire career and now the show she gave her childhood to gave the character she loved so much such a horrible ending
The stranger things cast deserved a better written ending than one written by the duffers whose egos are too high to realise they didn't make a masterpiece of a ending/season
what is the most satisfying moment in tv history and why is it spike reading everyone to filth after he finds out that they kicked buffy out of her own house (bc she would not coddle them enough)?
Anya: Hey, hands off the merchandise. Spike, you don’t get to go there again. Spike: Please. I’ve already forgotten about our little time together. Nancy: I thought you were Xander’s ex-girlfriend. Anya: I am. Nancy: But you and Spike… Anya: Had a thing. Spike: Didn’t last. Nancy: But weren’t you Buffy— Spike: Briefly. Buffy: Never serious.
ok. okay wait. something i'm kind of obsessed with is how spike knows buffy is lying about having his lighter in "gone" and goes to grab it out of her front pocket in that scene by the front door. shocking buffy so much so that she thought he was initially going to make a move on her until he pulled his hand away to reveal it [the lighter]. but, BUT we know spike doesn't just read this... instinctively know it... because earlier in the kitchen (when he was actually making a move on her) we can literally see him feel it, look at buffy in bewilderment, and then with a ''somewhat bemused expression''. AND I FUCKING LOVE THAT DETAIL.
we all know spike is very observant and has this sort of intuition and people reading skills that he uses to be a menace. but sometimes he is so insightful and earnest and spot on with his observations and understanding of buffy (think spike finishing buffy's sentences in "flooded" or him correctly categorizing him as buffy's best lay in "wrecked") that it's almost like magic how well he knows her, instinctively.
but i just love this little moment in "gone" where we literally see him figure it out. i can see the cogs turning in his brain. but buffy misses it. and it's like we're let backstage to see how a magician really does his magic trick.

My ship just beat each other up and then had wild sex, that resulted in them destroying a house YOUR SHIP COULD NEVER
I really just miss the simplicity of s1 I think. I miss when Hawkins really did feel like a close-knit town, I miss when characters weren't all over the place, and there was just some type of grain in the film, even if it was filmed in 2015. I also miss the character building. Jim was a divorced alcoholic. Jonathan was a 'creep' and had a rough upbringing. Nancy was your typical popular, pretty schoolgirl, but she was in love with the so-called creep and could handle a gun. And Joyce was just a single mother, being driven to the brink of insanity. I just feel like nowadays, there's no time for character development, or no thought put behind it at all.
I really miss when stranger things did feel like an eighties, small town, cop sci-fi thriller with horror elements. Now it just feels like a long, drawn out season of some shitty marvel cash grab show.
Aw, everybody was just terrible to Spike. I actually kind of hate how his storyline was done - he helps the Scoobies constantly, can't even get a slice of friendliness after protecting Dawn & Joyce and fighting Glory.
Like they're all pretty chill with Anya, who is entirely unremorseful about her demonic activities. But Spike, who is similarly harmless and helpful, who genuinely seems to be making an effort to be friendly to them, gets treated like actual garbage.
s5 spike is so funny. "he's obsessive and creepy!!" yes and it is a fictional scenario that i laugh at every time

Funniest reoccurring joke in Justified has to be how often Raylan Givens, black hat, fighter for justice, gunslinger, cowboy, gets into fist fights being dumb, tired, or injured, and gets his shit absolutely rocked. I'm three seasons in and I can't remember a single physical fight this man has ever won. It's incredible.
I’ve started watching the show ‘Justified’ recently, and normally I hate the trope of “male lead character that every single woman around wants to bone on sight”, but in this case he’s played by Timothy Olyphant and I have to give that a pass.
I think the most insane thing about Justified is that Timothy Olyphant effectively played the most rage-filled, emotionally suppressed dude on the planet and he never. shouts. once. Like hell raise his voice at times to get a characters attention or make a point, sure but how often do you see an actor who does anger so well without including a screaming match every 4 minutes

INCREDIBLY bold of Jax to claim to be the funny one when this happened in the exact same episode

my only take from Weapons - the commentary on how community doesn't exist in america unless tragedy knocks at their doorstep. hard. even then what people form - it's not a community, more like a mob. and no one wants to work together (that mom who didn't want to share cctv footage). no one listens (911 operator didn't inform the police right away about the call from the drug addict; no matter how ridiculous that call sounded, they had to check it out bc it's been a month! and they had no leads! and yet...). no one talks (that teacher who saw Alex at the parking lot waiting alone). the system affects us all. it doesn't differentiate between big cities and small towns. it doesn't care and it will never care.
My friend said something about Jax in the new episode, which reminds me of something Mae Borowski said in Night In The Woods.
