The fact that one of the main musical themes in Project Hail Mary is a Dies Irae but in a major tonality means SO MUCH to me, you guys have no idea. This motif that, for centuries, has been associated with death and despair, recontextualized in a warm, hopeful, positive light. I'm gonna cry and throw up if I think about it too hard.
