concept of parents.. too lazy to color

why i've never seen someone draw his parents >.>

ok so i hc since he was so young, he saw his dad a hero, best man. he wanted to be like him, like most boys and their fathers. and, the death hit him very hard. he wanted to copy what he remembered. he grew up into his face, but the mother's features lightened him. and, to see in rdr1, he cuts his soul patch, i feel as rejection of his father by shame or dissent. but also ofc for identity reasons but then why not shave the mustache entirely if it was for reasons of recognizability?

orrrr rather the father just had mustache, no patch, and, dutch wanted to differentiate, but by rdr1 kept the stache as rememberence, comfort in familiarity of a face losing to gravity, sagging into what he never got to see his father age as.

i did want to give his father the style of curls, i feel dutch would copy those. then i felt he'd remember the mustache the most. then maybe he'd just had such a style as a young child, and his father complimented it, he'd held that close. then cut it as felt he didn't deserve anything nice, didn't deserve what was good and kind and it took too much time to care for them where they turned frizzy and tangled in neglect of himself.
