It's late, I'm tired, hopefully this makes sense, I just need it off my chest. Remus's rant about Nico in Why Is Dating Scary does NOT imply he represents Thomas's sexual desires. Rather, he was representing the intrusive thought to voice those desires. I'll gather my evidence in my own post when I have the time, but the short version: everything thus far has suggested Remus does not contain any of Thomas's desires in his multitudes. Quite the opposite, his role is that of risk assessment and danger alert.

I hope your okay with crit for the confessions, this is an unpopular opinion in both Thomas haters and Thomas defenders so I’m really hiding behind anon for this. But like the finale taking too long discourse is so stupid in comparison to how he’s been accused of acting when things actually are getting made

People are way too forgiving of Roman. I mean, don't get me wrong, the boy is struggling, but they do seem really eager wallpaper over the fact that he did it to himself. Or worse, blame it entirely on someone else. He *chose* to sentence Thomas to the wedding instead of the callback. He wasn't manipulated into that (like so many people like to assert), he in fact intentionally chose to do the *opposite* of what Janus was trying to convince him to do, because in the moment his role as Thomas's Dreams and his role as the Ego came into conflict. Roman chose the wedding as a *punishment*, both for Thomas and for himself, because the idea of "selfishly" pursuing those dreams tarnished Thomas's concept of himself as a kind and selfless person. It was a blow to the Ego, and Roman hurt himself rather than accept it.

I don’t know if this is a hot take or just an uncommon one but I really wish we got more time with Janus as an antagonist/villain. Yes a main theme of SaSi is that things aren’t black and white and all parts of someone can be positive or negative in different situations, but that hasn’t stopped Virgil or Remus from acting as threats at certain points. His introduction was so ominous and interesting and then he only gets brief appearances for the next few episodes and when he’s in focus again it’s a topic where he turns out to be right and they need to learn to listen to him.

your allowed to make criticisms of Thomas without it being hate towards him. Criticism can be really hard, but receiving it is such an important part of just- existing as a person in the world? I’ve seen people make very reasonable criticisms and phrase them in very polite and kind ways and be absolutely dogpiled on by fans. Guys. Most people aren’t shit talking him. They are engaging with a creator and his art and providing criticism. Even stuff that’s more surrounding like- the making of sanders sides and the gap between episodes can and has been done in reasonable and respectful ways.it is important to be able to critique something you love or someone you look up to.
