Queen of The Lake Crossplay

Last year, in early October, I decided to take Joanne Rainbow Monster out to a well, artistically kept back alley near Gammy Time Hobby at the Camdenton square. This and another alley nearby are a perfect backdrop for many of my crossplays and goths. I have much more crossplaying to accomplish in this small city. I look forward to doing more business with Gammy Time Hobby in the near future and with other new stores that are popping up in Camdenton and Laurie.

Back in November 2023, I put on my best 80's style goth crossplay and took these pictures by a nearby specialty store, and then rocked it at some other locations. This crossplay was pure fun while taking. Shifting the pictures into black and white mode really brings out the gothic 80s style I have known since childhood. Another awesome crossplay that was a blast.

Two years ago, I took advantage of this awesome backalley to make this crossplay as Black Canary happen. The LED lighting was perfect in assisting me with the right lighting in the right place, where I could create a scene similar to Batman and Green Arrow comic books, along with some fan artwork I drew from. The city of Camdenton is great for anyone who wants to do cosplays and goths without going to the big cities. Sometimes, the good old small towns tend to have what you need and want to make your day that much better. That July night was definitely one of them.

Had a great night at the B&B Theater Ritz 8 while at the premiere of Wicked Forever. I was greeted by a welcoming staff who also took their pictures with me for their supervisor to see, who was quite impressed with the pictures taken. The movie was just as good as the last one I had seen at the Marcus Theater in Lake Ozark. I highly recommend this movie, along with seeing the first one, if you can see a double feature at this time. I had done some additional upgrades to the costume since last year. I look forward to doing more of it in the future, as I have always done with my costumes in the past. For now, this will be my last crossplay for the year. I have much work to do in such a short time, and then I'll rest for a while.

Anytime is an awesome time for goth. I went out on a November night back in 2023 to at last follow up on the Blond Noir using this cool shopping background I used in a nearby town close to Laurie. I took advantage of the LED street lights for the backdrop while it was at the late-night hours, with no people or car traffic to be any problem. The weather for that month was just right for this crossplay, and all I had to do was just look natural in my black and blonde's best and let the timer on the Olympus do the rest. That, and I edited it on Photo Scape for the classic Black and White style that makes goths look even better. As for a pre-Halloween goth? I say goth looks good just about anytime.

Small men hide from history's giants. This week, a certain orange-faced moron has once again proven he is king of the small-minded. His reign will be short, as it deserves to be, when the people will not stand for him at all."We the people." Resist. Make good trouble out there. Time to wake up more Missouri, fight.

To start out my 57th birthday this morning, I set out to the local theater for this crossplay dressed as Zatanna, which is one of my signature crossplays. While I was posing for the camera, a passerby asked what my crossplay was and complimented me on my costume. He was most impressed with my work in progress at the time. After the conversation with the young man, I continued with my picture shoot and got the right ones. I used two cameras, one was the HP E-327, while the other two, I went back to my trusty Olympus SZ-12 for better results. All in all, another great crossplay done right. Later on this weekend, I'm going to see that Superman movie and the Fantastic 4 movie for good measure.

Lady Gaga "American Art Monster" I know right now it's hard to celebrate to celebrate Independence Day with all the crap the wrong people in Washington have been doing to us. It's sad on too many levels. I'm not going to let that tear me down to their garbage level. To this day, I'm still a firm believer in "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness." Even with tough times right now, we must all stand for freedom and let these oppressors know they are not over and above us, and they work for us and not for themselves under the disguise of the state or country. Joanne And The Rainbow Bug: Last year, after I got done with a picture shoot in Camdenton, I took a trip across the former toll bridge into Lake Ozark to get these pictures taken around this VW Bug that a t-shirt shop in town had outside. With it being in the morning and hardly anyone around to obstruct my progress, I took my time with this crossplay and styled it. Happy Pride Month, all.
