Little Earthquakes is one of my desert island records. It is a masterpiece. This was her follow up record. Tori's second solo record came out swinging. She pushed away from being a novelty piano singer, and delivered a truly original alternative album that paved the way for many female artists after her. The songs are powerful, and usually cross into uncomfortable areas but that is what makes them so powerful. The packaging is also great. The back cover is a lyric sheet, and the insert is Tori's own thoughts written for this reissue. Little Earthquake introduced us to Tori Amos, but this album solidified her as a force to be reckoned with. This is an excellent listen.
