Corn, also known as maize, in a breeze, September 2020
Happy Friday
After much rain, the ground is soaked here. These pics will show how fast the corn grows here. Top pic is one I posted 11 days ago.
Back then the plants were just below knee high. This field is just to the south of my property. The next shot is from this morning.
It is cool and wet here and the corn ought to really shoot up in the next few days. Right now they are just below waist high. This morning it is only 61F degrees (15C) and my grass needs cutting but itβs way too wet.
No birds are singing this morning, nor are they out hunting for bugs. It is very quiet outside. I have made no plans for here today but I do need to stop at the credit union and also drive to the post office to get some stamps.
