“I think Chloe is more of the lesbionic one, if I’m honest. I think Beca is kinda like ‘whatever dude’ but I think Chloe’s got a freaky side and I think she’s the instigator of everything… she’s just ‘love is love and I just want to spread my love’ wherever I go… and we’re going to sing at the same time and it’s gonna be great.”
[about the kiss] “It is very true, it is a real thing. We actually really wanted it to be in the movie. They gave us a private screening just for the girls, it was really special and we were all crying because it was the last one. But we were all anxiously waiting for the final scene when everybody goes off and goes to their respective lovers… we were hoping it wouldn’t be an outtake.”
“It’s very steamy, I’m not gonna lie… it was our last day of filming for the third movie and most of the girls had wrapped for the day… And so we were all back in, I think, Chrissie’s trailer and we were all celebrating and we were having margarita’s and just enjoying the fact that we’d wrapped. We were waiting for the other girls to join us and we all get a simultaneous text message on our phones of a video of what was just shot. And we were like ‘WHAT IS HAPPENING?! We were all really, really upset that we’d missed it in action.”
[about the queerbaiting] “I totally understand a bit of the backlash and the let down because that’s what a trailer and a teaser are for, is to show you want to expect… I think, to be honest with you, my personal opinion is sadly I don’t think the world is ready, honestly, for Bechloe. There are more advanced cities and more advanced people, but I do think we have a bit of a long way to go before it’s still in mainstream, commercialised feature films… We know that if it was put out there, we know there was a definite target audience who would have absolutely loved it so that’s why we’re hoping that you guys get to see the cut footage.”
