I'm looking for loustat fics recommendations. Especially ones that focus on their vampire power dynamics. Or ones that explore some different endings and canon divergence. But all recommendations are welcome

Does anyone know the name of that one Louis and Lestat fic where Louis applies for a job at Lestats publishing company and they get into a relationship fairly soon. I'm pretty sure they have communication issues. I also remember paul being hilarious.
I just finished we were liars and the show gutted me I actually couldn't stop crying for an hour. But it felt kinda of rushed. Like we didn't connect with the characters enough.
The Sinclair family dynamics are so interesting and I felt like the writers didn't do enough with them. I wanted to see liars interact with their aunts and the littles and I wanted more interactions between them as well. We barely got any interactions between gat and mirren. And I wish we had gotten to see cadence talk to Carrie because they are so similar and I think Carrie sees herself in Cadence.
I also wanted to see more of Penny and Cady since I really believe that Bess was right when she said that losing them was their punishment but was wrong about Penny not being punished. Because Penny had to open up which was the hardest thing she could do since she's closed of to the point where her sisters think she's incapable of love. And when she does lose Cadence and her fear of not being chosen is confirmed.
I loved the series but I really wish wed gotten more episodes to really explore the characters and their relationships. I feel like we don't have any really good TV shows with characters that we connect to and that's because there aren't enough episodes to fully explore the characters and move forward with the plot. We need to bring back 24 episodes per season or at least 10.
With the whole TSITP triangle all past love love triangle are being talked about again especially the Elena Stefan and Damon and the most popular idea is that Elena didn't deserve the Salvatores which is ridiculous.
I'm a stelena shipper but I hate the rhetoric that Elena was the who didn't deserve Stefan or Damon.
Realistically the only thing Elena is guilty of is kissing Damon while she was with Stefan but I've always interpreted that as a goodbye rather than anything romantic. But that doesn't mean she's the villain or a terrible person for breaking up with Stefan or hurting either brother because they've done much worse to her.
Stefan threatened to drive her off wickery bridge and turn her into a vampire despite knowing that her parents died on that bridge just to get revenge on Klaus. The no humanity argument is empty because I'm pretty sure he has it back. Despite this she still loved him and helped him.
Both brothers tortured her when she didn't have her humanity which was their fault in the first place since Damon decided to order her turn off her humanity instead of helping her deal with her grief.
Damon killed her brother because she rejected him.
The list goes on and on but the point is Elena Gilbert was a 16 year old girl with severe survivors guilt and had alot of grief and a bit suicidal when she met the Salvatores and to a certain extent they took advantage of that.
Elena would have been better off if she never met them even if she would have been dead.
I feel like we as society don't talk about Atonement enough.

What happened to mediocre TV shows, the ones that you didn't have to put any effort into watching but could use as background noise. I feel like they just disappeared and now I have nothing casual to watch especially since Netflix doesn't let its shows marinate and cancels them so quickly
Monsters
I just finished watching the series and I don't agree with the over sexualized and villainous portrayal of the Menendez brothers.
But I did think that the series as a stand alone piece of art is so good. I really liked the cinematography and its one of the few recent series where the acting is done really well and all the actors can act.
I do think they should have ended the series when their cars go separate ways instead of the boat because it makes them seem like the villains instead of their parents.
Ok hear me out academic rivals Stelena. Both of them obviously like to learn with their shared love of history and literature and medicine. Like Stefan has canonically spent years getting multiple degrees he's a well of knowledge and Elena would make it her life's mission to smarter then him. After Elena overcoming her initial difficulties of vampirism they could just complete on whose smarter forever while being all soft and cute.
Or it could be an au where their at boarding school and are super competitive but like to study together.
I need someone to write cus I don't possess the talent for writing stuff.
Watching a Stelena video from one of my fave Stelena YouTubers and this is no hate to her at all (I love that video and we’re moots on twitter), but when I saw that one scene (again) in 4x07 where Caroline is like "no, he’s heartbroken" and clearly taking Stefan's side over Elena's, I just…
Like Elena and Caroline aren’t best friends, not in the slightest, but they’ve known each for most of their lives and for Caroline to take Stefan's side over Elena's instead of being there for both of them annoys me.
Caroline can be there for Stefan and Elena at the same time. She doesn’t have to take sides.
It hits even harder when you realise that Elena took Caroline's side when Stefan and Caroline were fighting in season 6. At that point Elena was definitely closer to Stefan than to Caroline.
I think that alot of people don't understand that banning abortions will only stop safe abortions. there will be a modern version of backstreet abortions that will take place and cause deaths.

While I'm devastated for Americans that Kamala Harris didn't win I think her campaign did an amazing job of getting the younger generation in conversation with politics. I saw some interviews of her answering children's questions about her campaign and gun violence and the way she answers their questions and validates their concerns is magnificent.
Although she didn't win her campaign reached a younger audience all around the world and brought them in conversation with politics because her campaign was accessible to gen z and she spoke their language instead of disregarding them in favor of the older generations like so many other leaders do.
The way she is able to empathize with peoples concerns proves that she would have been a good leader instead America chose a criminal due to mysoginy and racism.
I really hope she runs again and wins.
If America doesn't want Kamala Harris we'll take her ( I'm from the UK). .It baffles me how Trump despite being a criminal and liable for sexual assault was able to run a presidential campaign and won.
If Kamala was a white man she would have won.
I shed a couple tears when I found out he won and I don't even live in the US.
I just watched cruel intentions and I absolutely loved it but I hated the ending. It felt unfair that Katherine was the one that was punished and Sebastian was redeemed just because he fell in love. He was just as bad if not worse than her and they made him out to be the hero at the end. Annette driving at the end reinforced everything Katherine criticizes about society, that the innocent virgin women are better than the ones who like sex.
I also loved Sarah Michelle Geller's acting and my favourite moment is when she gives her ' I'm the Marcia fucking Brady of the upper east side' speech.
The acting, the out and the soundtrack of this movie were on point. I love how debauched they both were.
If anyone has any recommendations of movies or books similar to this please let me know.
Is Hayley a Pick Me
I've been seeing a lot of people on TikTok call Hayley a pick me and how she thinks thats she's cool and 'not like other girls'.
The thing is she isn't like other girls. As far as we know she was kicked out by her adoptive parents when she was very young. She grew up on the streets and would have had to learn how to fight and defend herself. I think that the show does convey this well as she wears a lot of utilitarian clothing like combat boots unlike Rebekah who tends to wear heels.
I think that most people think that she's a pick me when she says to Caroline "I don't do teen drama". Thats because when Caroline asked her that she had bigger problems to worry about. When we saw her in Mystic Falls she was desperate find her family. I don't even think that she had a proper relationship before Elijah, that's why she clung on so hard to him. He was one of the few people to show her kindness and considering the circumstances and all the uncertainty around her, Elijah was stable and always there.
I think that a lot of Hayley's actions are driven by desperation. It's evident in the way she fights: compared the Mikealsons she has no finesse. She fights like she's trying to survive. There are no tactics or hidden attacks just violence. Her wanting to run away with Hope was also a desperate attempt at protecting Hope. She's going back to her oldest defense mechanism running and hiding away from threats like a street kid. There was so much uncertainty around her and nothing stable enough to stay for.
Unlike Caroline, Elena, Bonnie and Rebekah, Hayley wouldn't have had enough time to explore her femininity cus she would wear what she could find. Her femininity is directly linked to Hope and being a mother. I think the scene where she's trying on her wedding dress portrays this really well. It was most likely one of the first times she was trying on dresses like that. I thought that scene was really sweet.
I don't think that Hayley is a pick me but rather she just didn't get the chance to explore her feminine side.
I hate Chuck bass he's so annoying and toxic I don't know why everyone finds him so attractive and charming. He SA'd 2 girls in the pilot and it was implied in later seasons that he SA'd alot of other girls. He sold Blair for a hotel, physical hurt her and was manipulative and so toxic.
I also didn't like Ed Weswick's he was awful at doing an American accent and was always whispering.
This line pisses me off so much its so overused.

I feel like Hope and Lizzies friendship was meant to mirror Caroline and Elena's but the writers did such a better job with Hope and Lizzie. You could really see them interact and build a connection whereas with Elena and Caroline the friendship felt very one sided. it always seemed as if Caroline was more Stefan's friend than Elena's.
its really apparent when Caroline tells Stefan about Elena and Damon in season 4 despite Elena telling her that she wanted to be the one to tell, Caroline went straight to Stefan after she found out barely giving Elena a chance to figure out how she was going to tell him. Another thing that annoyed me about Caroline was how pro Stefan she was and I completely understand why she hates Damon (I do find it a bit hypocritical that she criticizes Elena about Damon yet has no problem with him being besties with her mom) but she never seems to be on Elena's side. whereas it always seems as if elena is putting all the effort in their friendship in s6 she tells Stefan that she is firmly on Caroline's side when I'd consider them better friends than Caroline and Elena. I'm not saying that Elena is perfect because she's not but she does put more effort in.
this scene where caroline walks away when elena is trying to comfort her really pisses me off
whereas Hope and Lizzie make mistakes and try to rectify them. I really enjoyed watching their friendship bloom and grow throughout the show and they realize that they are more similar than they think. I really enjoyed the road trip episode cus that's when they make a real breakthrough and begin to understand each other. While Lizzie has similar insecurities that Caroline had regarding Elena she handles them better and the show actually shows her making progress with them in better and healthy ways. Again they both make mistakes but they try to better themselves and try t overcome them. I think the biggest difference is that they both make an effort to be friends.
I honestly think that the writers of TO should have put Hayley and Klaus together and Elijah and Cami together.
Klaus and Hayley made so much sense together and they weren't afraid to call each other out. they truly understood each other and had great chemistry. this is my favorite scene of them.
Elijah and Cami made sense (if she had never been with Klaus) because Elijah needed someone who could focus on him. in Haylijah I felt like Elijah spent so much time taking care of Hayley that he forgot about himself. i also feel as if he treated hayley like klaus but toned down. Elijah needed someone who wasn't directly connected to Klaus because as much as i love their relationship Elijah was more than often end up getting burned and suffering. Cami would have been so great for elijah cus she would help him deal with his issues and be able to help him distance himself from klaus. they had good chemistry when we saw them in the house with hope playing trivia? (im not sure) I feel like he wouldn't be able to have those kind of conversations with hayley. i feel they both needed someone more grounded
