i play PGR in JP because the way they pronounced commandant in EN threw me off (I'd been saying it wrong the whole time and I wasn't going to admit it no matter how much you paid me) and it weirded me out (also it's fairly jarring hearing a fake British accent as a Brit and that also kinda weirded me out, it's just something very small sounds kinda off and I couldn't concentrate) so I kinda avoided it for the most part since it was introduced. But recently the cutscenes for both multiversal chronicles and the opening are I think automatically set to English and It sounds really good and a lot better than I remembered (may have just been because I am resistant to change).

But every so often I like listening to the voice lines and I get curious and check how it sounds in English. What I don't expect is seeing voice actors I very well know of pop up next to characters I'd never imagine.

Yeah that took me very off guard. I bring this up now cus I see a post that PM SEYMOUR VOICES A CHARACTER NOW???

it wouldn't be such a big deal except I knew him as Travis in aphmaus MC series. Like 10 years ago. You see the whiplash.

Great to see him again, loved his voice. But now I fear I'm going to browse through and find even more thats going to rock my world.

I'm waiting for CyYu to jumpscare me ingame eventually. It's only a matter of time.

so overall consensus is happy that it's getting more attention and absolutely terrified for what the fandom will be like if it gains more attention.

and another thing, like I ADORE Kurt and Max, they're so silly but I love them just as much as I love the others (that's a lie, ryoko superiority).

A lot of it is the girls I don't want them erased, sorta.

I think I'm also just scared of shipping. Which I understand is essentially part of fandom culture and I'm a big shipper myself, I love cute little pairings but I just.

Of course this is my personal opinion I can't force people to see them the way I see them but I just love a chaotic platonic bunch of misfits. All of them just feel like ragtag bunch of friends made of crime duos. Like I see Kurt taking selfies with chiharu, and the two of them go to like girls day outs with a "reluctant" machina. (Those boys spent half an episode primping in front of a bathroom mirror don't tell me they wouldn't. Besides chiharu was the first to genuinely thank them, they think she's cool.)

I don't think I could see the ships and I don't want it the entire fandom to then centre around the shipping.

Yeah I'm also really scared of akane villainisation.
