my worst personality trait is how genuinely angry i get when extra-tasty homestyle cooking wins over inventive molecular gastronomy-adjacent beautiful plating ambitious food. i don't watch cooking shows to hear about how good something i can't eat tastes. i want to see people do things with food i had never even imagined were possible and i want them to be rewarded for their bravery
