I need to be kidnapped by kind aliens who take me to the alien vet and they know exactly what's wrong with me and they cure me and feed me nutritious meals
I would not mind being in an alien zoo with proper human enrichment.
hey, donāt cry. one half flour one half yogurt knead into dough and fry for easy flatbread and dip in balsamic vinegar, okay?
After three batches, my findings so far:
I use full fat Greek yoghurt and self-rising flour
Ratio by weight
Add a pinch of salt
Knead until no longer sticky, adding more flour if necessary
Roll them with olive oil instead of flour and fry in an otherwise unoiled, preheated pan (medium heat) (trust in the lord; it will seem like it's going to stick to the pan at first but they'll unstick in about 15 seconds)
Roll them thin but not too thin; mine take about 45 seconds on either side
Serving with garlic butter is also a very good option
Iām gonna be eating these for a month
This actually works?? Two-ingredient bread??
I gotta try it.
That's...naan.
That's naan?
*runs to Google*
HOLY SHIT THAT IS NAAN! HOW DID I NOT KNOW NAAN WAS THAT EASY TO MAKE?
if I say "I have to Austin Powers my car out of a parking space," do you understand what i mean
like this?
the curse of adhd:
i will remember with absolute clarity, when the thought strikes me that i have a text to send someone, that this is the fourth time in three days i've attempted to send this specific text
i will forget, in the time it takes me to pick up my phone, that i picked it up intending to send a text
this is something that I think a lot of people don't understand abt adhd. and like. this shit can get scary, especially if it happens often. I hate that I can't remember what I'm doing for the entire time it takes me to do it. I hate having to pause in the middle of conversations to desperately attempt to re-trace my train of thought because I don't remember what we're talking about. like. if you don't have adhd. just try to imagine what it's like to be unable to carry out a full conversation. try to imagine your memory resetting at random intervals. what are you doing right now? do you know? because often times, I fucking Forget. in the middle of doing things. and then I'm just standing there like an idiot desperately trying to wave away the thick fog that exists in my brain 24/7. and sometimes that shit just doesn't work. and I forget for good. it's terrifying. to me, at least.
After shoving Hansel in the oven, the witch turns to Gretel - who is currently fending the witch off with a gingerbread chair - and says:
āI canāt believe you thought a trail of breadcrumbs would save you. I mean, honestly, this is a forest! Itās full of animals. Honestly, the very idea that a dumb shit like you thought you could get the better of me is absurd.ā
Gretel hits her in the face with said chair. To be fair to the witch, she takes the chairshot like a champ.
āOw!ā
āDid you know,ā says Gretel, āthat crows are capable of facial recognition?ā
āEh?ā Says the witch, clambering to her feet and pulling a candy cane sledgehammer off the wall. āWhatās that got to do with anything?ā
āNot only that,ā Gretel continues, ābut they can remember both friends and enemies. And theyāll often follow people they remember as friends.ā
The two fence with their sugared weapons for a moment, before the witch knocks the chair out of Gretelās hands.
āEnough with the bird facts! Honestly, this whole attempted escape has been utter clownshoes. Get in the fucking oven!ā
She seizes Gretel by the collar. Gretel immediately sandbags, letting her whole body go limp. This eminently practical defense forces the witch to try and deadlift her. Which is hard, as the witch often skips leg day.
āFor example,ā Gretel says, as the witch struggles and grunts, āif you feed crows a lot of breadcrumbs, theyāll probably start to see you as a friend and follow you in the hope of more food.ā
The witch stops. Outside, she hears the thunder of wings.
āTheyāll even bring you shiny things they find as presents!ā Says Gretel, as a corner of the gingerbread ceiling is suddenly cut away by a large crow with a knife in its mouth.
āOh shitballs.ā Says the witch, as the crows descend. āI hope you know this is a great unkindness.ā
āTechnically,ā Says Gretel, āItās a murder.ā

Houses after dark byĀ Phoebe Morris
pretending to like music recs a guy gives u is on the same level as faking an orgasm for him
Blood Test
TheĀ Titanoboa, is aĀ 48ft longĀ snake dating from aroundĀ 60-58million years ago. It hadĀ a rib cage 2ft wide, allowing it to eat whole crocodiles, and surrounding the ribcage were muscles so powerful thatĀ it could crush a rhino.Ā Titanoboa was so big it couldnāt even spend long amounts of time on land, because the force of gravity acting on it would cause it to suffocate under its own weight.
Iām so glad they arenāt around
omg me too. Iām scared enough of 26 ft long anacondas. Iām so happy Megalodons, those giant sharks, arenāt alive either
Praise natural selection
I remember watching Walking with Beasts or something similar, or some British tv show about evolution
The subject was something like a 12 foot long water scorpion
I was so startled by its sudden appearance and narration that I yelped: ā12 fucking feet?!?! Ā Iām fucking glad itās extinct!āĀ
Dude, prehistory was home to some fuckingĀ TERRIFYINGĀ creatures. For some reason, everything back then was enormous and scary. Extinction doesnāt always have to be a bad thing!
And Poppy, what you saw was an arthropod known asĀ Pterygotus (it was actually featured in Walking With Monsters). Not only was it as big (or maybe even bigger) than your average human, it had a stinger the size of a lightbulb. REALLY glad that bugger isnāt around anymore.
Also, Megalodon deserves to be mention again, because just hearing its name makes me want to never be submerged in water ever again.
GOD, I HATE THIS POST. HOW DO WE EVEN KNOW THAT SHIT ISNāT STILL AROUND? LURKING? EVOLVING? WE DONāT. WE DONāT KNOW SHIT ABOUT SHIT DOWN THERE. THE OCEAN IS A PRIMEVAL HELLSCAPE NIGHTMARE AND WE ALL JUST DIP OUR STUPID FRAGILE UNPROTECTED FETUS BODIES AROUND THE EDGES OF IT LIKE THATāS NORMAL. FUCK THE OCEAN.
this is so relevant to my interestsĀ
It wasnāt just the predators. North Carolina was once home to giant ground slothsā¦
THAT IS A GODDAMNED LEAF-EATING SLOTH.
Weāve got a skeleton of one of these fuckers at the museum downtown, and man, just being NEAR it is unsettling.
DONāT FORGET PREHISTORIC WHALES, SOME OF THOSE FUCKERS WERE TERRIFYING
AMBULOCETUSĀ WAS AMPHIBIOUS AND PRETTY BADASS
BASILOSAURUS WAS THIS GIANT REPTILIAN CETACEAN THAT PROBABLY SWAM LIKE A DUMB EEL BECAUSE OF ITS TINY FLUKES BUT THIS FUCKER WAS 60 FEET LONG AND AT THE TOP OF THE MARINE FOOD CHAIN
AND THEN THEREāS MY FAVORITE,Ā ZYGOPHYSETER,Ā WHICH WAS THIS HUGE EARLY SPERM WHALE THAT ATE SHARKS AND OTHER WHALES
IT WAS NOTHING BUT TEETH
The reason why the animals in the prehistoric times were so big was because there was much more oxygen in the atmosphere if I recall correctly. Because there was so much oxygen and so few carbon gasses, life on earth was able to grow to terrifying lengths and heights, donāt forget how giant the bugs were.
I have never seen so much prime nope in a single post
Also important to note that megalodon is theorized to still be alive, possibly living in the darkest depths of the ocean. They havenāt found signs of its extinction
scientists: āwe havenāt seen a megalodon in quite some time now, letās just hope itās exstinctā
This whole post is my JAM not gonna lie I am fascinated by massive prehistoric animals
