While I was sick last weekend, I worked on reorganizing my notebooks (again), and I came across some old doodles for my efforts :3 I'm pretty sure this isn't finished, but it was so simple and cute that I wanted to share (I tried to hide the shakiness of the camera with filters lol. I also put my icon in the corner in post).

Hello doodlers,

Some of you may have picked up on my preference for ball-point pen and watercolor over other creative medium. Last night, I had hit a hard low, so I decided to, instead of reaching out to my loving friends, family, or boyfriend, reach within to see what would be made of my very temporary depression and four squishes of acrylic paint.

I create out of necessity to move and flow rather than with a concept in mind. I paint as a form of meditation because paintings rarely ever progress backwards as my mind does. While stroking this 4-colored pallet onto the multimedia paper in one of my sketch books, I thought of the true intricacy of the human cardiovascular system. It is one of strength, detail, life, and danger. We take our bleeding hearts for granted, yet they rarely take offense by our neglect. They beat on.

Day 17: Swollen

Yeah, this could have turned out better. I messed up the shoes, smudged the ink with my eraser, and, in a pack of 100 markers, there still aren't any decent skin tones for super pale peeps like me!

If I ever get my hands on some Uni Posca paint pens, I'll try to recreate this piece.

Aside from a certain Disney villainess, knives and daggers were all I could think of in relation to today's prompt (morbid, I know).

It didn't turn out quite how I envisioned, but I guess it's okay. I like the nightshade motif.
