For the love of all that is good and kind in the world can we stop using this panel as "proof" that Jason and Bruce have a "good relationship."

Y'all wanna talk about Jason or Robin fans in general taking things out of context? Two (well, three if you count the annual) issues prior to this Bruce beat Jason so badly his arm was in a sling and even over a month later he still couldn't hold a firearm. Not to mention?

Roughly 6 pages earlier, knowing that Jason is going to have pretty much no support system because his friend is dead and he doesn't know it yet, he tells him he's never going back to Gotham (where, well, I wouldn't call the Bats a support system, but at this point they're the only one Jason would have Had. Because Artemis and Biz straight up disappeared immediately prior to Batman beating Jason's ass and him having to be saved by Roy.)

and on the immediate next page after the hug?

Bruce treats Jason so badly that Jason believed that Bruce fucking hated him.

Says he needs a "kick in the ass" <- Bruce you put him in the fucking hospital like a month or so ago.

Hi everybody welcome to: abusive relationships 101: this shit is abusive. There's no ifs, ands, or buts about it. "Jason was doing evil shit!" Jason did the same thing to Penguin that he did earlier on in the series at Bruce's request when faking the murder of the mayor. Like. Unironically Bruce should have been able to put two and two together if he's supposed to be the "World's Greatest Detective." Jason's just given up on explaining himself.

ADDENDUM: Jason hasn't been a villain in mainline comics since 2011, so that excuse is even stupider.

It is so jarring to see you guys use these as cute panels.

It's written by DOUG MOENCH and it's makes me so sad. Whimpering and crying. Batman's greatest fear, the most terrifying thing he could imagine, that let him push through Scarecrow's fear inducing creations simply in desperation to stop it, had been Jason dying. And when he gets hit again after his Jason's death his fear is STILL Jason dying, until he snaps out of it remembering Jason is already dead. Sobbing. Crying wailing sniffling
