i will admit it can be very interesting when it's used to explore a character's writing, considering how gender would affect their story and the bigger storyline! oncce talked with a friend about how hypermasculinity heavily influences the universe in Naruto, that was very interesting indeed

turning only one of the two characters in a queer ship a different gender annoys me when there's a side of the fandom always turning the 'bottom' into a woman that rubs me the wrong way definitely
