I think Mizuki would have a seething jealousy over kakashi way before kakashi ever entered irukas picture fully.

He has everhthing Mizuki wants, like stays, raw power, ability and something that makes him special. Its the perfect recipe for Mizuki to fester grand jealousy and envy over him. Add to that Iruka, maybe he lets slip he had an interest in the anbu hound who everybody knew was kakashi, or maybe Mizuki learned on how iruka became a teacher in the first place, whatever it is he learns that Kakashi is involved with Iruka and, the one thing he had that made him Special aka Iruka, was no longer fully his. Absolutely fucked up for him.

The best part (for us anyway) is that Kakashi doesn't even know him. He is not aware of this avrege jounin around. He's too busy with actual important things.

Okay this gonna be a bummer for everyone but I really do think Obito was never gonna change fully. Even when he accepted he did wrong in the end he was fully prepared to die as in the end he thought what he did wrong was How he went about things. To me, its an impossibility but for the sake of the argument lets say he does. I do not think Obito would have ever like. Accepted kakashis love the way Kakashi probably would have liked and I don't think Kakashi could accept him after knowing everything he did. They would love echother yes, but romantically? nah that ship has long since sailed for Obito, Kakashi would take a bit longer to go through that grief but it would have happend eventually.

BUT nobody knows this. Everybody that sees them thinks the 6th Hokage loves Obito Uchiha. They probably think they will get married for how much time they spend around echother.

I think if Iruka saw this he would understand, he would be overjoyed for kakashis. God knows he would love if Mizuki changed for the better like Obito seems to be doing. So he would step aside, retreat even further into his work and leave Kakashi to do his thing. Not abandon him, they're friends after all and both have a place in Narutos life, but any romantic illusion he had thought of pre-fourth war was shut down in his brain, and because Kakashi is too busy yk. Trying to make sure obito doesn't die and deal with village and also deal with his grief, wont/cant make any moves to ask why iruka doesn't come over and nag at him anymore.

If asuma had lived the change is the sarutobis would be much, much closer to the hatakes, becoming great family friends. Asuma would have become an uncle of sorts for Kujira just like Gai did, Mirai and Kujira would have met earlier too insted of meeting after Yukines death and her role as to fill in team genma. Asuma would have clocked Kujira and Yukines whole thing far much earlier since he saw it first hand with mizuki and would have done smth about it.

Another significant changed would be Konohamaru would have known Kujira far earlier and they would have become more akin to family insted of the messy weird feelings going that happen when your in prolonged contact with someone during the most traumatic things someone can expirence in ANBU that both know are there but due to protocol, her being Narutos little sister, and His ex senseis daughter never explore but are both extreamly aware of. Think of them as like two codependent trauma bonded friends that have 0 personal space between them due to said trauma bonding, which freaks every who haven't expirence this out.

As we knoe, Yuki tried to kill her and use her body to resurrected the minato right? well before he died after defeating and stealing the body of the fourth he was in prison for a short while after getting caught reading edo tensei scrolls.She visited to try and yk, talk sense into him about how that isnt how it works, that lord 4th wouldn't ever do a coup agaisnt his own son, how Yukine got it wrong and the Namikazes sealed their own fate by not accepting kushina and Naruto but he hears None Of It. Absolute 0.

And after they try it for a few days it ends up being just the two of them. Kujira is tired and crying and she just wants him to come home and tell him as much to which he says " ... You're so pathetic Hatake. I can't see how I ever saw potential in you. I really did think you could carry lord fourth greatness but you can't even get your act together." which breaks Kujira's heart because he was like the only person that never treated her like a living legacy. Never treated her as an extension of Kakashi or Naruto. Who never saw a less than stellar kunoichi. Who never saw her as a failure. And here he was, admiting he used her to get close to Minatos legacy. That was the moment she knew he was a gone.

goddd he even keeps the same narrative about Iruka he convinced himself ages ago. You almost made me feel bad for him for 1 second but it was immediately shut down with that last part. The first time they holded hair Kakashi had a panic atack in the quietest way posible because "oh my god iruka look shes so small . shes so tiny iruka what do I do–" Iruka wasnt any better btw. hes used to kids around 8 to 6 years old, not a newly taken out the oven baby. Bro was holding her like one would a particularly big vase. Feeding was like an Olympic sport nwtheir knew what to do and both had to figure out through trial and error.
