The more confident a person is—or rather, the more narcissistic a person is—the more willing he recognized the reality in his eyes, no matter how many people question the facts he insisted on. This kind of narcissism is a defense against others' opinions. When others disagree, the narcissist is likely to get angry, and many manipulators will do the same way. This anger is not because they doubt their opinions,they cannot bear the feeling of not being able to control others totally. In other words, it is impossible for you to manipulate a manipulator, or at least in terms of the degree of engagement, it is difficult to manipulate a manipulator. It is more difficult for ordinary people like us to stick our opinions. Our humility and self-awareness make us appear weaker, while narcissists do not have such troubles. In addition, we have received education from an early age that others’ perceptions are sometimes more accurate than our own. When we often hear from someone:"black is white" or "up is down", it is really difficult to not doubt ourselves: whether others know something which we don't know.
