Annabelle

I couldn’t get enough of looking at everything. There’s flowers, artworks, quotes, photos, a couple of ties and at least one teabag… I love seeing the creative ways fandom show their love sometimes. I also love seeing how time has effected all of these items, how the elements have battered them and decayed them over the years… and yet, still they stand, still holding on despite everything nature throws at them. It’s what makes the fact that they’re having to take it all down so sad. While it’s all visually a bit worse for wear, in terms of the sentiment, it’s all quite beautiful actually… and a testament to the impact well crafted stories and characters can have on people who connect with them.

I will forever be grateful I was able to see it in person 💜

Following the character's death on the 9th July 2009, the shrine was created to remember his sacrifice for the children of Earth.
