Heart: The Fallen City, a Heart/SCP crossover
I'm currently running Heart The City Beneath with four amazing players. The campaign started out as a 5e game that needed a major overhaul after some stagnation. The characters stayed the same so I had to do some major home-brewing to make their existing character concepts work. I pulled from Heart, Spire, Ichor Drowned, and Heart: Ways and Means, and a lot of my own content to give them abilities.
The premise is that one of the many arcologies in the Heart world is the Lost City of Audapaupadopolis (SCP-4840), that had long ago crashed into a mountain range. The players work for the SCP Foundation (or rather this version of it) to explore the ruins and clear it out of the various horrors hidden within. The Cast:
Calisto, Grey Raven Assassin -Skae'delf (Shadow Elf), Retribution -Base Classes: Bound, Carrion Priest, Deadwalker ---Raised by cold parents who saw her as nothing but a source of income, Calisto was trained in combat by the Order of the Grey Ravens, a group of assassins living within The Grey. She killed many in rigged gladiatorial arena fights to financially benefit her parents and her master within the Order. That master being the infamous killer Sliver-Of-Light who hunts her now to drag her back into The Grey, and back into the grasp of her parents. Since her escape from The Grey, Calisto plots revenge against her parents and the Grey Ravens to ensure she never goes back.
Sephys, Relic Hunter -Fomicae (Ant-Person), Protection -Base Classes: Azurite, Junk Mage, Hound, Crawler ---A recent arrival to the mainland, Sephys was born into the Royal Guardian caste within his Hive on the island nation of Daikona. Having consumed everything on the island nation, his Queen decreed their Hive must expand into the world beyond. Sephys was one of the many Guardians chosen to explore the world in search of a new home. On his travels, he has collected many magical trinkets and baubles, along with an extensive list of mercantile contacts.
Elias, Petty Thief -Human, Greed (reskinned Enlightenment) -Base Classes: Incarnadine, Blightborn, Crawler, Somnajac ---Elias grew up an orphan on the streets of the Spire, raised by pickpockets, scam artists, highwaymen, and smugglers. Having owned nothing of value for most of his life, Elias made his life goal getting as rich as possible so he may never need to want again. Cowboy Pete, Plane Walker -Human, Containment -Base Classes: Cleaver, Hound, Vermissian Sage, Paracausal Puglist ---Cowboy Pete definitely isn't from these parts, he was pulled from his original dimension while encountering a portal during an MTF mission for the Foundation. He found this reality's version of the Foundation and convinced them he was a Mobile Task Force operative. Since re-enlisting with the Foundation, he has worked to combat the anomalous horrors that escape from The Fallen City. As for the cowpoke persona, he does it for fun.
This sounds really cool!
The idea of a fantasy version of the SCP foundation is genius and I kinda wanna use that in a campaign now 😅
