Speaking of - my wife writes a very lovely 'what if Beth lived' AU on Ao3. She's in the process of rewriting some of the earlier chapters on top of keeping up with future ones but do give her some love and support as she's the reason why I ever considered drawing this pair in the first place. ( They are very lovely though. )

Also, I gave Daryl fingerless riding gloves because the idea tickled me and it genuinely annoyed me how close they got to the walkers with no hand protection???

Daryl loves back rubs, your back rubs specifically. He didn’t even know he liked physical touch until you came into his life, holding his hand, arm, hugging and kissing him, racking your fingers through his hair and rubbing his back. He never realized how much he yearned for those things now. Now every time you too are separated for a long time, wether it is because he’s on a run or you’re helping around, he always needs to come back to you and get those back rubs and hugs.

At night, before bed he loves to lay down between your breasts and let you rub his back, going up and down and into his hair, relaxing him so much he almost always falls asleep on top of you. You love it, love to hear his little snores. No one knows that the silent arches is such a yearner for your physical touch.
