I use words like "girl" "bro" "dude" "babygirl" in a gender neutral way because I don't see it as the word being gendered it's more of the intonation I use as like a short expression of my confusion, frustration, annoyance or excitement and because I myself am non-binary, these words don't really feel gendered even when they're used when talking to me

HOWEVER

I do not use these words to refer to people who don't like it, especially trans people of all genders. Because I don't view them as gendered, it's a shorthand for a larger emotion/reaction, I'm fine with those words being used for me. But they are gendered in the traditional sense and shoves (especially trans people) into boxes they don't want to be in. It's the same as I swear a lot really casually among certain people but won't utter more than a "damn" around others.
