human alex who learns about vampire georgeβs self destructive tendencies and he canβt bear seeing george constantly pale and sickly and at deathβs door (or at least, as dead as undead could be), offers himself up as georgeβs own blood bag of humane procurement so george can just. finally feel less guilty. they enter a weird, fraught agreement that only makes george feel more tense and miserable because heβs fully convinced heβs burden - he hates who he is, and that he canβt control his urges, and now heβs dragged alex into this as well. george gives himself the allowance of feeding on alex once a week like clockwork. itβs not enough, but george tells himself it has to be. itβs the only way he can live with himself.

anon your beautiful mind, i love you. honestly nothing has ever been more true than alex albon, my guy with the crippling childhood trauma from being designated Head of the Household and Responsible for his siblings, volunteering to let george feed from him in a fit of self-sacrificial angst because he doesn't know how else to protect george (sidebar: i just thought of george going round to alex's house for meals and the parallels are making me crazy). ANYWAY, and probably alex hates himself for it a little bit because i imagine it's Not Great for his training, but he can't help himsel! george needs him! just for fun, i think i'm just going to go ahead and decide that this started in Baku 2025 when alex was in the Horrors and george was on the brink of death
and in a BREAK UP ERA too. anon i need you to come back and tell me if george was a vampire when they were dating before or if he was turned after because they're both very good options to me. like option 1) the feeding was something they used to do as part of their sex life and it stopped when they broke up. so when alex offers this time he's like, no worries georgie, we can do this and keep it platonic. mates feed off each other all the time! ORRR option 2) and this happened to george sometime afterwards, and the whole thing is just exasperating all the reasons they broke up in the first place and making the angst Worse. like george always knew he was a burden and now this is proof
and for a fun additional question: do we think it would be very fun in this vampire world if alex was still engaged to lily and george was still going for the championship. likeee if george COULDN'T cut himself off from alex because he can't fuck up His Chance. i think that would be fun!
god i love vampire aus. you can fit soooo much into this bad boy. and in case anyone hasn't read @prettydangrotten's and @themorrigain's magical creatures au and are interested in a vampire version of alex, may i point you in this direction
