thought abt ahbl and sam's powers and can i say. they had ava, andy, jake, sam, and lily right? ava, andy, and jake all had some proficiency over their powers, the first two literally embraced and honed them and jake was hiding his strength but he could still control it. so lily and sam were basically the only ones who had no control over their powers and textually, explicitly felt their powers made them monstrous. they were both so afraid and ashamed of their powers, they couldn't face them, much less learn to control them. the writers did this to the lesbian and to sam. this could, of course, mean nothing.
