Any institution that lets fascism rise is one that's fundamentally broken.
We have the unique opportunity to change the foundations of the US for the better and we can't waste it.
I don’t know how much the system is broken vs. the Republicans in the system are broken. The Republicans definitely need to go. And the voters can do that.

i agree we need to pick and choose, obviously (all sane people know a full restart is both impossible and an awful idea), but it isn't republicans that are the problem.
The system isn't divided into "good" and "bad", there's awful things happening on all ends of the spectrum. Even though people in the right are perpetuating harm right now, the left---mainly the democrats---aren't strong enough to stop it or are actively letting it slide.
The overarching problem isn't about republicans vs democrats. It isn't about individuals. The system can't keep itself in check or serve the people anymore; therefore, it is broken.
