Dude what is with Chabad’s Jewdar??? I was in downtown Chicago recently, middle of the Loop, easily a hundred people on the sidewalk around me. I cannot stress enough that I am a pink haired, septum piercing transfemme who was wearing jeans and a sweatshirt. No Magen David, no kippah, nothing. I straight up look more like I would hatecrime a Jew than be one.
But this pair absolutely clocked me. They asked me, specifically, if I was Jewish— not anybody else on the street, and not any of the goyim I was traveling with. Just me. They were super nice, gave me Shabbos candles and sent me on my way. I’m still reeling from it. How did they know. How did they know???
Lighting Shabbos candles is a woman-only mitzvah, which means that you just passed really well, as Chabad would only give candles to someone they thought would be obligated to light them (a Jewish women) 😃😃😃😃😃.

I was going through the list of things you can and cannot bring on an airplane, according to TSA rules. Most of the things made sense, like no, you can not bring gasoline on the plane. But cookies? Totally fine! Antlers, I mean, sure, a little weird, but I don't see why not. But LOBSTERS.
By the way, this is for a CARRY-ON! On checked baggage, they are 100% allowed, no questions asked. Imagine you show up at the plane, and some guy is holding one of those guppy bags with a LIVE LOBSTER chilling it. Also, I love how it says, "A TSA officer will visually inspect your lobster at the checkpoint". What will they say, "Oh, your lobster looks a little green there, buster?" If this is not the most American thing I have ever seen, I don't know what is.
