Cassandra: Niki - Cassandra doesn’t have a huge role, but she’s distinct because of her costume, which I think reflects Niki, who is part of several groups (L’manberg, New L’manberg, the syndicate, etc.), just as Cassandra is part of the Jellicle cats, but is often distinct in many ways.

Demeter: Ranboo - Demeter sings about Macavity, and is a paranoid, skittish cat. Ranboo is also shown to be anxious and paranoid, worried about pleasing others, his enderwalk, and the safety of his friends/family. Demeter is also implied to have had specific bad interactions with Macavity, just as Ranboo has had bad interactions with some form of Dream.

Grizabella: Awesamdude - Sam was a pretty friendly guy, got along with most people, and was a regular member of the Badlands, (Grizabella was happy with her life as a Jellicle cat), until becoming the warden, where we’ve seen his corruption/the burden of being the warden, and he now has many negative relationships (Grizabella now lives in exile and in disgrace - which is also why she has the line “touch me,” and why it’s so significant that the rest of the cats later do make physical touch with her).

Gus: Eret - Gus is an old, wistful cat, who really only gains energy when thinking about his old glory days of being the theater cat. Eret also longs to go back to a time before they had betrayed all their friends, and shows his nostalgia for the past with the upkeep of his museum.

Jellylorum: Puffy - Jellylorum is a practical and loving cat. She has a caretaker role with Gus, and is very protective of the younger cats. Puffy is also a motherly/fatherly figure who is constantly trying to help, especially the kids of the server, going as far as to put off dealing with her own amnesia. She helps with the community house, the destruction from the explosions, and the eggpire.

Jennyanydots: BadBoyHalo - Jennyanydots is very busy, constantly hustling around, and takes control of situations. Bad also takes charge and is always planning and working when it comes to the Badlands and the egg/eggpire.

Macavity: Dream - Pretty self-explanatory with this one; he’s the antagonist, no one’s entirely sure what his whole deal is (what’s he planning, abilities, etc.)

Mistoffelees: Quackity - Quackity, like Mistoffelees, is a competitive person, evidenced by his participation in the election for L’manberg’s president, and Las Nevadas. His nature of showmanship also relates to Mistoffelees. Modern adaptations tend to also show an aspect of Mistoffelees as being young, and having great powers/potential, but still learning. Quackity demonstrates this with how we’ve seen him fail and face obstacles, such as Jschlatt and Technoblade.

Mungojerrie: Ponk - This was hard, only because 90% of the people on the Dream SMP are Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer, but Ponk is consistent and one of the most mischievous.

Munkustrap: Wilbur - Wilbur’s a leader, charismatic, and slightly imposing - fits the whole aesthetic of Munkustrap. He also cared for the people of L’manberg, like Munkustrap cares for the kittens.

Old Deuteronomy: Philza - Dadza, of course, and also everyone seems to go to him with their issues (think Ghostbur trying to get revived). I almost put DreamXD for this one, but ultimately Philza fits better for his interaction with the other characters.

Rum Tum Tugger: GeorgeNotFound - Listen...listen...hear me out...If you take out certain aspects of his song and focus on the implications it has on his character, the Rum Tum Tugger is a self-centered cat, only really showing humility when it comes to Old Deuteronomy. George, likewise, is so unaware of what’s happening around him, to the detriment of others (prime example: missing the election). This also works even better if you think of Old Deuteronomy as DreamXD, who seems to be one of the only people able to get George’s attention.

Rumpleteazer: Hannah - Also just here for some chaos. She obviously was part of the uno-reverse card pile up at the Red Banquet by betraying the Spruce Boat gang, and causes chaos in any of her streams with Sam. She and Ponk don’t necessarily have a duo, and there are tons of duos that would work for Mungojerrie/Rumpleteazer, but even on her own, she’s a good match.

Skimbleshanks: Foolish - Overall a cheerful, jolly guy, high energy, and the shift dance can be the tap dancing. Skimbleshanks is also an older cat, like Foolish is a very old demigod, and kind of protective of the kittens when it came to Grizabella, like Foolish is when he’s made aware of the egg.

Sillabub: Tommyinnit - Sillabub is the cat that sings part of memory, reaching out to Grizabella, and is chosen by Old Deuteronomy to relay a message. She’s one of the younger cats, but also very compassionate. Tommy is also one of the youngest on the server, and seems to have been “chosen” by Dream, in a way, to be his enemy. He also overall tries to do what is right for those he cares about.
