I hope you find your way back to yourself. to the version of you that you miss, to a version of you that you recognize and identify with. I hope you meet happy again.

Currently I’m working on asking myself how I can make any situation I’m in more cozy and enjoyable. That means making a hot drink and cleaning my glasses before I sit down to read. Putting on my favorite music while I scroll tumblr or draw. Checking the weather and putting on proper clothing before going on a walk. Preparing something nice to snack on before sitting down to watch TV. Listening to an audio book while doing the dishes. Because often it only takes a couple minutes to do something extra that makes a positive difference!

Sending love to everyone who has health issues or chronic pain in parts of your body that aren’t usually socially acceptable to talk about. It’s frustrating to feel like you can never explain your pain to someone because it’s TMI and to feel like you have to hide it. Your pain is nothing to be ashamed of. I see you, and I’m sending you support and strength.

I hope you believe that you can still make a beautiful life for yourself even if you lost many years of it to grief, or darkness, depression, or a wound that wouldn't close.

i believe you can always get back to yourself. you can always soften into being again. no matter how long you might be stuck in a pattern of unhappiness, of being jaded, of feeling guarded from the world in some way. there is always a path back. give yourself a chance to find it.

Breathe like you’re allowed to be here. Because you are. You’re allowed to take up space. You’re allowed to make noise. You’re allowed to need things and people. Your allowed to need accommodations and help. You’re allowed to cry and to laugh as much as you need and want. You’re allowed to ask questions. You’re allowed to be passionate. You’re allowed to be messy. You’re allowed to be strange. You’re allowed to be a paradox of things. You are allowed to be here. You are meant to be here. Live like you are.
