So he does start off as a non physical spirit when he first appears and later gains the ability to become more physical. (Which is the form I tend to draw him in more)
I’m not to sure about a monster form but I can maybe see him being able to temporarily use the op op fruits power for a short bit.
What I can see him doing is possessing people and using them to help corazon. Of course he just can’t possess anyone, if they got a strong will he may find it hard to take them over. Also strong haki users can block him out completely.

Ok, ok so I’ve been thinking on it all day today and this is what I got so far! (Because I haven’t thought much on it yet lol)
This follows the main story but the difference is Doffys being haunted by the image of his younger brother. Cora doesn’t harm him physically but does cause him GREAT mental distress. As the years go on Doffy finds himself unable to get proper sleep being plagued with nightmares and images of his dead brother. His family starts to slowly question him when they see his angry outburst at nothing and the (not so quiet) conversations he seems to have with himself. As more time passes his mental state deteriorates and he eventually starts treating everyone like there enemies that he needs to take down. All the while Cora silently waits for his brothers downfall and the moment he can finally drag Doffys soul down to hell with him.
Law doesn’t know that Corazon is haunting Doflamingo and only sees a man that’s lost his ever loving mind. Just cuz he’s lost his mind most definitely doesn’t make him an easy target. He’s become more demon than “GOD” at this point.
Not sure what I’m gonna call it yet but this is what I got so far. :)
(Also I swear every time I draw this man he gets more and more bling to his fit lmao)
do you think that silence Cora is keeping the op op fruit for the end? like after hes done taking his revenge, his final revenge will be on himself for failing Law by taking a big ol bite out of the op op fruit. A probably painful and disgusting way to go out, just what he thinks he deserves.
That’s such a dark and morbid way to go out but I honestly can see him trying to do something like that. Of course though laws there to sort of keep him grounded in a way.

Ohhh ya Doffi still very sour about his betrayal, but he finds it very amusing to see his little brother spiraling and struggling. He knows Rosi is out for his blood and he’s itching to see him try. Daring him to come finally face him so he can bring down punishment on his brother for his betrayal.
Corazon actually still has the fruit. He holds onto it as a reminder of his failure and protects it from anyone who wants its power. Cough* cough* Doffi
Which makes him a huge target from both pirates and marines 🫠 that’s if they can find him cuz he’s a slippery bastard.
Also I can see law somewhat being attached to this fruit, being another object keeping him from moving on. More of a reason why papa Cora protects it furiously. 😤

D Clan members are traditionally genetic, but by referring to someone with a D in their name, considering them family in some sense, and (most importantly) thinking of them As A D, they can inDuct someone. The most known case of this is good ol' Sa-D-bo over there, but there's a few others scattered around.
That's not the main headcanon though. The main hc is that D Clan members, inDucted or born, have fangs. The length/shape/sharpness/etc varies a lot, but they've all got 'em. They're not the only people to have fangs, so it's not a surefire tell, but it's notable. D Clan are not afraid to bite, muzzle at your leisure.
However, due to Imu's (let's be honest here) phobia of the D Clan, they– sort of forced a cultural norm onto the Celestial Dragons, that being gold fang implants replacing their canines.
This is supposedly meant to prevent inDuction, but they've never actually tested if it does. According to the Nobles, it's for fashion, to reinforce the "dragon" gimmick while showing off their wealth, and to make indentifing other Nobles easy.
The implants are usually done around age 5 or 6, involving a pretty thorough surgery to remove both the baby canines and adult set and fully replace them with the implants. These implants can be torn out, but it will hurt like a bitch.
Culture states the implants are to be kept pure and shiny and never used for something as barbaric as biting someone, but dear Donquixote Rosinante doesn't care <3 Shanks doesn't have the implants, due to only being roughly a year old when Roger took him in.
The surgery and golden fangs are very strictly Celestial Dragon exclusive, it's illegal to have anything too similar to them after several incidents of mistaken/assumed identity. However, certain circles of nobility found a loophole that's gotten pretty popular.
That being silver fang caps. Small pieces of metal that slot over the canines and resemble sharp teeth at a glance! No surgery, no gold, no D clan nonsense– it's definitely 100% it's own thing and not another layer of cheap imitation, swearsies <3
The silver fang caps are usually pretty easy to slip off and remove, but can get stuck sometimes. Especially if– oh I don't know– they're shoved on over recently grown in D clan fangs? Poor Sabo..... Dragon got them off after he picked the kid up, but still, yikes.

My beloved Fangs Headcanon™ is featured in pretty much every fic I write where I can mention them, but they're semi-important in "calm down"

Thinking about small crossover of your au's where hobo Cora meets ghost Cora. I think he would probably be so relieved that in at least one timeline he succeeded, even if it also fills him with jealousy and envy.
