I love that Mickey is canonically the little spoon. I love that Ian is usually the one with his arm round Mickey’s shoulders when they’re just hanging out or when he comforts Mickey, I love how Ian holds Mickey at night, I love how Mickey is the bottom, I love how Mickey doesn’t panic when Ian wakes him up by literally groping him (and it happens multiple times we just only see it once or twice). I love how Mickey, a survivor of severe physical, emotional and sexual abuse, not to mention spending his teenage years and adulthood in and out of prison, trusts Ian so much to have the upper hand. I love that he can have that in Ian. I love that he feels safe enough. I love how Ian knows how much Mickey trusts him physically. I love how Ian honours it. I love how tender he is with Mickey. Like in 11x3 when he choked him he was caressing his cheek. 11x5 when he backed him into the ambulance he was stroking Mickey’s hair. I love how Mickey is able to be physically vulnerable for Ian. I love how Ian honours it.
