I’m gonna rant a lil because no one’s gonna stop me lmao but i think the reason why many queer, especially adult artists feel we had to underprice our art is because censorship made it so hard to reach an audience that we had to make it possible for people to say yes.
I have definitely been in this position myself where, on top of navigating my wish to make my art accessible to working class people like me, the downgrading of my visibility gets to a point where I feel like I need to charge less for my art, and that’s especially difficult when I’ve spent literal years on working on it, and poured my own funds into it, and made sure I use archival quality materials for my physical works.
I’ve also been noticing so much more AI slop everywhere, even when you try to block it, it permeates 100% of everything online, completely random stuff. Which just adds to this perception that there’s this real human competition out there when really it’s all fake, corporate, profit-motivated garbage.
All of us need to raise our prices now because screw all this.

In pastoral Lakemore Academy, being as far away from the troubled girls’ school his father left him in is good enough for senior Ellery. But instead of getting to move on and talk to the gardener he has feelings for, Ellery has a nightmare. There, he meets a murderous necromancer who’s been watching him from afar. His name is Callisto, and his haunting beauty is dimmed only by his excessive brutality. Seeing Ellery’s body and his mind as instruments only he can masterfully tune, he forges an indelible bond with the young man, and permanently links their fates together.
