Are you new to the fandom? I see you reading aytd and choices (I have a lot of opinions about them, not always positive), so it would be really entertaining to see your reaction to fics like Crimson Rivers or Only the Brave, or maybe Best Friend’s Brother if you search for something lighter. Did you already read them or do you plan to?
yeah, id say im relatively new! so far ive read atyd(+sirius' perspective twice), crimson rivers and choices, i tried reading only the brave i really did but unfortunately.... i didnt like it :( gave it up after 18 chapters and started crimson rivers again last week - yes, i cried like crazy on my first read but now, knowing the end its almost comforting (I KNOW ITS INSANE TO SAY THAT CR IS COMFORTING but after choices.......it really is)
i was really careful choosing what to read first, bacause i knew it would become a point of comparison for the future so it had to be amazing aaand as suspected - i think the delicious slow burn and insanely realistic, complex characterisation in atyd and choices set the bar sky high, and i dont think anything can top the relationship dynamic between Sirius and Regulus in CR - i know its au but jesus i could yap about them for hours, i truly could
and about choices.... i honestly didnt expect it to be THAT hard, im still grieving and processing everything, two weeks(?) after finishing it. at one point i had to take day long breaks between chapters because i was just crying and crying and crying and it was honestly painful. i have some issuses with it, of course, but its mostly personal preferences, the rest is just... brilliant imo
right now im gathering strenght for art heist bby i think!
