welcome to pokéherps rescue :)
we are a home-run rescue based in hammerlocke, galar, specialising in reptilian and amphibian pokémon. we take in and care for injured or troubled wild pokémon as well as adopting pokémon whose trainers can no longer care for them.
about the rescue:
we currently have 12 pokémon in our care, mostly ones rescued from poor situations or surrendered by trainers. since the rescue is run from home, the owner’s personal pokémon occupy the same spaces as the rescue pokémon where it is safe to do so.
we take in a variety of species, and our full accepted species list can be found under the tag #info on this blog. (note: some of the accepted species’ classification as reptilian or amphibian is controversial; if a new species is offered to us that is not on the list but could conceivably fall under either of those two categories, we choose whether to accept it on a case by case basis based on how well we would be able to care for them).
if you have a pokémon you would like to surrender, send a dm to this blog and our admin will send you the adoption form, which can also be found under the #info tag. pokémon from any region are accepted, but restricted species will need their paperwork transferred to us before we are able to take them.
if you have or know of a wild pokémon that is injured or in danger, or if you know of a pokémon who has a trainer and is in a bad situation, send an ask/dm and we will look into it (galar only).
about the owner:
the rescue (and this blog) is currently run by one person. my name is nick, i am 19 and originally from unova. i moved to galar when i was 8 and have had a soft spot for herp pokémon since i got my starter, a snivy named pesto.
i have quite a lot of personal/pet pokémon, most of which were supposed to be re-homes but had gotten too attached to me (or the other way around) so i kept them. they all have their own nicknames but i have far too many to list in this post. each of my pet pokémon will have their own tags, formatted as #(name) the (species), eg #pesto the serperior. i might make a post later that lists all of my Pokémon and their nicknames, which will be under #info.
my battle team consists of: serperior, krookodile, dreadnaw, salazzle, politoed and heliolisk. i’m not the best at battling and generally only do it because these guys really like it. you can challenge me if you really want to, just don’t expect anything outstanding haha.

my name is actually nick and i do actually keep reptiles. the character running this blog is basically my swsh character, and i’ve played since gen 5 hence the character being from unova.
roleplay with this blog all you like, preferably through reblogs/asks since this is a sideblog and i am stupid and don’t know how to work sideblog dms, but dms are open as well. my main is @h3rpn1ck so any likes/asks will be sent from that account.
OOC asks/dms are also fine but i might not answer as many so that the blog stays more in character.
