It's a slow day at work, and Ishmael is asked to train a new hire, a young man named Sinclair who only just moved to the town of Nantucket. He's a shy kid who barely speaks, and Ishmael slowly learns that his apprehension holds weight. Modern day Nantucket AU. This is a more personal piece based on my experiences working retail and my experiences with intergenerational queer friendships in a small tourist town.
