snippet (dumpster): Batman twists his hand to instruct Tim to turn. His back would almost be pretty right now if it didn’t hurt like a bitch. Olivine bleeds into wine-red into feathering piss yellow. It was near black that first night back in his own bed. Tim had to sleep on his side.  Tim almost jumps when fingers brush the knob at the top of his spine. Batman makes an enigmatic little grunt, and Tim turns to look at him, Batman’s shoulders drawn whipcord-tight under cashmere. His brows knot in the middle. There’s been a permanent line between Batman’s brows since he was at least twenty-five. Tim’s seen photographic evidence to prove it. Staring now at Tim’s watercolor canvas of a body, the line deepens into a canyon, and the crow’s feet sprouting at the corner of his eyes crunch. “Pretty gnarly, huh,” Tim says.

5. from dumpster fic: spoiler alert, they find batman, dick and bruce are sleeping it off upstairs , same bed but it's all very awkward and weird and tim wanders in after their hellish night basically 75% bruise by volume and is like. uh. dick. and dick half asleep is like "wmngh?" and tim's like i need a ride home. and dick's like. "wmnhghbd." meanwhile he's stroking tim's hand the whole time and starts to doze off while doing so. and tim, rightfully stressed tf out, goes dick PLEASE i need a ride. please. i wanna go home. because he's feeling very vulnerable and awkward and he doesn't know how to deal with brother feelings. and dick's like. "nmhokay." anyways it's tender and kinda funny and super awkward.

Then, as if the possibility was just occurring to him: “You told someone you were coming, right?” Tim made a noise, vague enough for Dick to interpret however he wanted. “Hey,” the next tug on the blanket was sharper, as was Dick’s voice. When he got the blanket down enough to see Tim’s face, he raised an eyebrow, repeating, “You told someone you were coming, right?” Or: Tim and Bruce have a fight. Tim does the only logical thing and goes to Dick about it.
